I have been eating at Papa Al's about once a week or so for the last six years. Been getting take out about once a week since COVID to try and support the local business. I have always had great food and average to good service. A few weeks ago they started a new phone ordering system. Looks something like an iPad on the cash register. My wife called tonight at 5:50 to place an order and was disconnected. She called back and order two meals to go. She was told 25 minutes, just like always. When I went to pick up the meals at 6:15, they were not ready. And the young woman at the register could not find the order( number 62) in the iPad thing. They asked what I had ordered and confirmed it was not made and was not being made. They then insisted that I had not called and placed an order. Like I just made it up and came in to bother them on a slow Monday night. I left with out any food or an apology, for what was clearly a mistake on there part (or on the computers part). She even said that they had orders 61 and 63. Obviously 62 should not have been skipped. When I got home I checked my wife's iPhone call log and sure enough two calls at 5:50 to Papa Al's with the correct phone number. That will be the last phone call to Papa Al's. I understand that mistakes happen I suggest finding a pizza shop that will try to make them right when they do. Not Papa Al's who will send you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnbelievable. We ordered a Sicilian pie and got home and it was dough. Called and the guy was argumentative and said thatās the way it should be. Made us another pie āwell doneā told us to keep this dough one, put it in the oven to cook it. Once cooked it never will cook properly so it is garbage, any baker knows that. He was very argumentative said next time order it well done. Obviously he does not get how to make this kind of pie. Plus we had to go to the bank to complain because they keep trying to charge us a second time. Whatās he trying to get paid twice. Good customer service is apologetic and should have just credited us for the inconvenience. For a $25 dollar pizza it was subpar nothing to write home about. Thereās a ton of pizza places. Take a ride to Tambascioās...
