PopUp Bagels — Restaurant in Newtown

I need to write this review in contrast to those who think this is a local typical deli bagel:

1. I'm from NY and Popup is by far the best bagel Connecticut has to offer.
2. No good bagel should be followed by coffee from Dunkin', just saying.
3. It should be more expensive as quality isn't cheap. You probably shouldn't have bought it online to start with.
4. Lets talk about the toppings: If you're from the city, a bagel with literally 4-5 seeds of sesame or a dash of everything seasoning is an insult. Popup packs a TON, excessive TON of toppings on their bagels.

These bagels are delicious, but beware they are expensive. It is $42 for a dozen bagels and two schmears.

Their variety is all in the cream cheeses -- their special flavors rotate weekly. I've seen Oreo, butter popcorn, hot pineapple butter, and more. They are always unique and tasty. Their bagel flavors are always the same (the classics). Sesame, plain, poppy, everything and salt.

Every order is made hot and fresh. Their bagels have the perfect crispy crunch on the outside and are soft, and fluffy...

This New Yorker doesn’t get it. The freshly served bagel was tasteless, and was like a huge wad of glue in my mouth. I didn’t even finish the piece. A half hour later, I decided to reapproach this time the Everything bagel. Ok, there was taste, but the texture inside was congealed paper. Horrible.
