If you’re ever within 100 miles of this place, do not skip it.

I travel the country filming and reviewing dive bars, and Abe’s Old Tumacacori Bar is hands-down one of the most fascinating and genuine places I’ve ever walked into. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, and holy cow — she is an absolute wealth of history. The bar has been in her family for generations, originally built by her great-grandfather, and it’s still standing on the foundation of an old Spanish mission. That alone would make it worth a visit.

But it gets better. Supposedly, a lot of the items inside were stolen from none other than Pancho Villa himself — how’s that for some outlaw charm?

Like any good dive bar, there’s a resident bar dog. His name is Abe (yes, named after the original owner), and he’s a massive, sweet bloodhound who absolutely steals the show. I brought my own dog in — he’s well-behaved — and the two of them got along great. It’s a pet-friendly, laid-back spot where conversation flows as easily as the drinks.

If you’re into history, real-deal dive bars, or just want a place with soul, this one’s a gem. I don’t say that lightly. This is...

Loved loved loved this bar! So much history! John Wayne frequented here which we thought was pretty cool. They have a goat that loves doritos & funyons! The bartender was very friendly & attentive. The locals were very hospitable & made us feel like regulars! We were staying in Tucson so had an hour drive home or we would have stayed much longer! If we are back in the area we will definitely revisit! Easy drive from Tucson. Make a day of it & go to Tubac, the Tucacori Historical Park & Abe's.. you won't be disappointed! We visited many places in Tucson & surrounding areas & this was...

A true step into what a bar should be. If you're looking for overpriced mojitos or karaoke Tuesdays...this is NOT the bar for you. But if you want an eclectic crowd, historic ambiance, and quality drinks for a great price....this is your scene. Ask for an $8 margarita -- I haven't even tried their $12 versionl

With a great 'speak easy' vibe (Are they open tonight? You better call to check.), this is my favorite bar in Arizona! And they're the longest running bar to boot! Check them out...and don't...

Just a stone’s throw from the Mexican border sits one of Arizona’s most unforgettable dive bars—Abe’s. With walls full of character and stories, this spot has seen everything from mariachi music to biker meetups. It’s got that “you had to be there” energy—and now you do. #arizona #divebar #hiddengems #supportlocal #abestumacacori #southernarizona #borderlandvibes #bikerfriendly #countrybar @DiveBarShirtClub
