I hate to leave bad reviews especially when trying to support black business but this food was so terrible i had to leave a review on doordash and come here to try to save someone else their money as well. This was the absolute WORST “soul food” i’ve ever had in my life. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog. The mac n cheese was just…”mac” with pieces of cheese here and there. No salt just A LOT of pepper and it was very obvious that it was not fixed today. Judging by the reviews they obviously do not care about their business bc so many people have been complaining about the same issues yet nothing is being changed. Doesn’t taste like they’re even trying to serve quality food. The yams tasted straight from the can with a sprinkle of nutmeg. The cornbread was really soft..cake like and tasted like a watered down pound cake. The chicken was soggy and undercooked…i’ve never had a plate where EVERYTHING was terrible like this & i ordered a extra side of yams and mac n cheese so safe to say i wasted my money and will NEVER order from here again. I ordered through Uber Eats today, and it was all amazing! It's the best Southern style potato salad you'll get in this area. The wings, potato salad, mac & cheese, and collards are my go-to favorite here. It is located in the Fair Price Flee Market, so you can shop around and support more local businesses. From clothing, oils, & footwear to a barbershop & wig store, you are sure to find something to buy! Ample parking. There is a food truck in the lot ( I haven't tried yet). Traveled to Norfolk for work, and my Boss and I were riding around looking for a quick lunch. We pulled over into a parking lot to look at our phones for somewhere to eat, and just happened to catch Lil Mama's out of the corner of my eye (also noticing that it was in an indoor flea market). I told my boss that flea market food is actually a silent monster, seemingly low-key and cheap but amazingly delicious. That is EXACTLY what Lil Mama's was. We were greeted by a nice woman (I assume the owner), who was very accommodating. I had the white fish sandwich, and my boss ordered the lemon pepper chicken wings. The fish was battered perfectly, and the seasoned fries were delicious. According to my boss, his wings were "Hands down the best I've ever had. I love how they put the lemon pepper IN the batter". We will definitely eat there at least once every time...
