It was just ok. I made a reservation for my son and I to use an outdoor patio space for some time on the range together and a quick dinner. They weren't very busy (at least not for the outdoor patio bays), but it seemed to take a bit longer than usual to have someone come to us to take our order. The food: We both ordered boneless wings with garlic parmesan --- I thought it would be sauce. No, it was breaded boneless wings with parmesan (like the cheap-o stuff you put on spaghetti) and maybe some garlic powder or something; I really don't know, because you couldn't really taste any flavor. It was basically breaded chunks of chicken. Most times when you order a flavor on wings, it's a sauce not a sprinkled on seasoning, so that really wasn't what I was expecting. So, lack of flavor and they were a bit overcooked -- kinda tough. Thankfully they brought a couple of ranch containers to drown them in to get at least some flavor, but no bleu cheese dressing. So, in short, maybe their pizza is better, but I would not recommend the boneless wings. The place/patio bay: The place felt a bit dirty and grungy. The floors inside felt sticky under your feet. The outdoor furniture in our bay had lighter colored cushions that were noticeably very dirty... to the point where I didn't really even want to sit down. After our hour was pretty much up, we needed to leave to go to an appointment (like I said, our time for the patio bay was technically up anyway), so I flagged down our waiter to get the check, but it was not very prompt at all. After waiting for more than 5 min, I ended up just going inside to meet him to pay. The range: The range is decent. The driving mats were in decent shape and the rubber tees weren't worn down or broken. They have a TopTracer electronic ball tracking system with some nice options -- games, driving range, longest drive, play a round, etc. However, there was a game where you could play a virtual round of golf at some notable courses, but for "near the green" shots, the system wouldn't register a shot that was less than about 50 yards. It was our first time here, so maybe there was a setting that I wasn't aware of, but regardless, if there was a way to make it work, there weren't clear instructions on how to do it. We spent most of the time playing a kids game and using the longest drive module, which was fine. As of note, I'm not sure how accurate the system was with distances. If you are going here to see how far you can hit various clubs, not sure it would provide accurate data. So, overall, for 2 people to rent a rather dirty bay and for low-quality boneless wings, waffle fries, no drinks, and tip, the cost was just about $50. As a note, the patio bay rental is $10 for one hour and includes a large bucket of balls. However, when in one of the bays, per the website, it is expected that you are going to order either drinks or food. So, it was just ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it again, but I would still meet friends here if it was something they wanted to do, but I might just reserve one of the upper bays and buy a large bucket of balls and skip the food and...
Read moreI had been here 1 time previously. The food was ok, but the atmosphere was fun and outgoing just to lounge in.
My rating stems from my most recent visit just a few days ago. I want the public to understand, there is fault of my own in this to an extent, but the following still summarizes my thoughts appropriately:
I had a wedding reception in the Vinyl Room. Previously, I had walked through the place to get a glimpse of the room before booking. I had asked about catering for the room and was told "yes, we can have catering" months in advance.
There may have been misunderstanding in that, as on the day of our event, we had $1800 with of food sent over and it was denied at the door. The manager states "we can't allow outside food we'll lose our health license." Ok, cool, but I was under the impression of I can have catering for my event? The manager then states, I shit you not, "Well yeah, you can have food catered into the room from our..."
I cut him off. In what WORLD is it catering when you are serving your own food within your establishment? That ISNT catering and they tried to justify their wording to me that it was meant to be their own food from the restaurant. Nothing on the site disclaims this either. No wording anywhere or mentioned about catering for events when renting rooms. There is NO transparency on that. Sure, it may be partially my fault for not knowing this, but it was mentioned by staff directly and nothing else went against that.
So we did a literal tailgate with street tacos and opted to do the remaining scheduled stuff with BloNo after eating.
My main issue now stems from the professionalism of staff. After we started doing our food in the parking lot, I had guests approaching me that staff was actively laughing and making fun of myself and our party for doing that in the lot.
What kind of workers does this place hire? I had constant complaints that it was "Danny" being unprofessional like this and wasn't seeming like he wanted to be there.
They wanted to cover "half the food cost" if I tried catering their food, which is mid to begin with. I already spent $1800 and the food is outside. We couldn't be helped and they really only cared about their bottom dollar.
We will not return and actively encourage others not to due to how certain staff treated customers. Had I read previous reviews on some of them, I would've looked for a better alternative.
I'll give a 2/5 simply because the place is really nice, but my experience was completely soured due to 1 day and when I went to simply tolerate it got belittled and laughed at by...
Read moreTried the lunch buffet when the restaurant first opened and was very unimpressed. I was excited when they announced recently that they would have the buffet every Sunday because I wanted to give them a second chance. Again, was were very unimpressed.
We arrived on Sunday around 1pm for lunch. We were greeted at the hostess stand and taken to a table. The host didn't give us any instructions when were were seated. We waited for about 5 minutes and no one came to the table. My fiancé got up and asked a server that was chatting with another server if we just needed to start getting our own food and what we were supposed to do about drinks. The server said yeah you just serve yourself and get your own drinks.
After we had finished a plate of food from the buffet the bartender came to our table and asked if we were just having the buffet today and if we wanted to have any other drinks. Pretty weird to have the bartender coming over to serve the tables. He ended up getting us salad dressing since there was none on the buffet.
No server came to our table the entire time we were in the restaurant. They didn't clear our plates, they didn't ask how the food was, they didn't ask if there was anything we needed. The restaurant was pretty empty and it looked like there was 1 small childs birthday going on in a back room. When we were finished with our food we ended up going up to the bar and the bartender checked us out.
The buffet is great in theory but it doesn't seem that the restaurant is prepared to serve this way. The pizza that was on the buffet was okay but there weren't many to choose from and only about half were labeled to show what they were. The salad bar had very minimal options and didn't even have bowls or salad dressing when we arrived. There was no dessert on the buffet. There were about 6 kids that came to the buffet from the party and after they had gotten their food there was almost no pizza at the buffet and it was not refilled until we were...
