Bar Eighty — Restaurant in North Branford

A place I have frequented quite a bit in the past. Decided to have lunch and watch some football this past Sunday. To my surprise the bar had changed ownership. My girlfriend and I (her first time in) had a double order of wings, the fried pickles, chicken tenders and I added a BLT. The food was very good as it always has been. The new owners have spruced the place up a bit but had only been in operation since January 1st and are still making changes.

Met the new owner Rich. A very friendly guy who is engaging with his customers. Doesn’t hide in the back with his fingers crossed. The bar staff was also friendly even though I didn’t recognize them from the past. We will definitely be going back to this place. It’s a great friendly neighborhood bar with a friendly atmosphere. Went here Wednesday night.Was a little hesitant because I didn't know if Danielle was working and knew that she is the worst bartender ever.Have been here previously with her working only to learn that she never gave back your change after ordering a beer.To my surprise,although I was the only patron in the bar,she actually gave me my change back this evening. Today starts a new year and I wanted to stop into my favorite Bar to wish their best bartender HAPPY NEW YEAR.Her name is Kathy and she works days.Such a pleasant woman and makes sure that she greets all her customers very cordially.I love this bar because it's not overcrowded and you have the ability to talk and meet new people which is very relaxing.The owners are there at times and never talk down to you.They treat you on the same level and are always very accommodating.I also enjoy playing pool here and they have a wide variety of entertainment.I couldn't ask for anything better with wanting to go out and socialize a little.
