Been here a couple times. Both times my food (bagel sandwich & burrito) were drowning in grease. My burrito this morning was dripping & had a large pool of grease below it on the plate. Taste is okay, but the greasiness is off-putting.
I got a burrito to-go, and when i picked it up, the aluminum foil broke and my burrito fell on the ground. They use the cheapest, flimsiest tin foil, which caused this to happen. The burrito itself wasnt even that big or heavy, so that shouldnt happen.
The interior is nice enough, but its awkwardly quiet in there, which makes it uncomfortable if you want to sit down and eat. I wish they would play some music or something.
Their pastries, desserts and fresh bagels are good.
Overall, i dont hate the place, but im also not a fan. Theres just too many other good breakfast options in the area for me to want to come back again.
EDIT: Response to the owner - Your response just seems like you're saying it's my fault. Instead of saying "What can we do to improve our food" you're telling me to do extra in an attempt to get normal food. Why is it that no other place that serves breakfast burritos has grease pouring out of them like a faucet? Instead of telling me to make special requests for your cooks, how about you change your processes to be at par with other restaurants? Instead of telling me to request a double wrapped burrito, how about you spend a few extra dollars to buy heavy duty tin foil instead of the cheapest Costco/Great Value stuff you can find? Or just double wrap it by default? It's this kind of blame shifting that will keep locals like me from returning to your place. I really appreciated the long response, but you basically told me that you're not making any improvements other than adding music. Well i like to order take out without telling the cooks how to do their jobs, so why would i return? I sincerely want you to stay in business and be successful, so i'm disappointed in...
Read moreBagels are so much more consistent now. Went maybe a few months ago and JB was on the grill (buy some new shoes my dude) cranking out food, singing, and cutting up with the staff, but the food came out fast and was excellent despite there being a lot of tickets on the line.
Went this weekend and his business partner was there and had the same pleasant experience. Hard to find a pork roll on Kaiser down here but they do it very well despite neither of the owners being from the tri-state. Love the new cookies and what I think is a different chocolate croissant (my memory may be fuzzy but it’s looks a LOT better and has lots more chocolate).
Be nice to have some beer and wine as an option but given all the additions to the lunch menu (Cuban!!! Yum) probably need to get that up and running first.
Given that it’s Fibber’s adjacent not surprised by all the remodeling they’ve done, which...
Read moreWe catered our wedding desserts from Ben and bean and we would highly recommend you do the same! They were super easy to work with and communicated frequently with us before our big day. The cake was amazing! We got vanilla raspberry with buttercream frosting. Our guests raved about it. We also got bite size desserts including cream puffs, brownie bites, and mini key lime pies. All of them came out well and again were amazing and were highly praised by our guests. Ben and bean set up for us and the pricing is super reasonable. Check them out if you’re looking for any type of cake and...
