DISCLAIMER: This is JUST a personal review based upon my first visit to this business. NO malice or ill will is intended. Just an honest review... This was my first time visiting Bill's Grill on Nash St in Wilson. I visited at a little after 9:00 am, and when I walked in, I noticed that there were not many customers and they were not very busy. I took a seat at an empty table and waited briefly for a menu, and to place my order. I ordered an American omelet with shredded hash browns and coffee. Through the years, I have enjoyed eating at local diners, particularly breakfast, and I have eaten at many. I typically order the same thing, as I did this day. This was the first diner that did not offer toast along with the omelet and hash browns, and much to my amazement, it was $1.50 for it to be included with my meal. It was obvious that the toast had come out of a regular toaster, not from a griddle, as there was no butter on it. It was simply 2 slices of bread that had been toasted and cut diagonally...$1.50. You make your own opinion. I certainly have mine. I'm not saying that it is wrong at all. Each restaurant sets their menu as they will. It's up to the consumer to decide if they want to pay the price. IMO, $1.50 for 2 slices of bread out of a toaster and cut diagonally is...well, I'll keep that to myself. You make up your own mind. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong. I understand what it takes to run a business, as I did my own for 20 years. But $1.50...for toast? The omelet was good at best, slightly undercooked, again, IMO. The hash browns were shredded and tasty. As far as the coffee, it was good as well, but I had to get up to ask for a refill, and when I approached the counter to speak to my waitress, I noted that she was on her phone, typing a message or searching through some pictures, which she quickly shut down after I asked for a refill of my now cold coffee cup. Granted, I DO drink alot of coffee with breakfast, but let me remind you of what I stated in the beginning, the restaurant was NOT busy at all. IMO, customer service is much more important than your daily texting schedule. And another thing about the coffee...there are no creamer cups available where you are seated, not that I could find anyway. Again, this was my first visit as a prospective new customer, so I'm having to learn my way around ( it must've been obvious that I was not a "local regular"). I discovered that you have to get up from your table and go to the area on the counter where there are several selections of bottled creamer AND SUGAR (that's not available on the table either) and that is where you "doctor up" your coffee, if necessary. Again, this is the choice of the restaurant and how they do things. To me as a customer, it seemed a bit of an inconvenience. (DISCLAIMER: AGAIN, THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL REVIEW BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE. NOTHING MORE. NO MALICE IS INTENDED HERE. JUST AN HONEST REVIEW) After asking for a refill the first time, and the restaurant was not busy, I didn't have to ask again. For that, I am thankful. And the young lady did ask if I wanted a water to go. That was thoughtful. I'm including a picture of my receipt for my meal, less the cash tip that was left behind. All together, my breakfast costed me between $17-18, and I have my opinion on that as well, based upon my experience.

I thought with a name like Bills Grill I would get a delicious and hefty meal, unfortunately this place should be called CHEAPO BILLS because not only was I robbed of a chicken sandwich (paid for but was not even put in the bag!) I was robbed of the BACON from the BLT. The fundamental principle of a BLT is having juicy pieces of bacon 🥓 OUTSHINING the lettuce, now tell me why there was all lettuce and one dehydrated piece of bacon folded in half on my so called BLT? Just call it a cheapo BLT so I know I’m getting one piece of bacon. The standard for BLT is 4-6 pieces of bacon, I just feel so disturbed and disgusted this is what a BLT has dwindled down to. Please revise your menu to reflect the negligence in preparing your food or make it correctly. Also, if you do charge someone for food, make sure it’s put into the bag once given to the customer. I didn’t know I was paying for air when I ordered a chicken sandwich and to my surprise found NO chicken sandwich in my bag. I’m very disappointed in this restaurant. Y’all have disgraced the meaning of BLT, I’m actually scarred.

There's no denying Bill's Grill in Black Creek has great Foods however, the prices are comparable to a four-star restaurants in the big city. I decided to treat myself today with a cheeseburger steak plate, it comes with two sides but, I wanted a third and boy did I pay for it!!! I picked up my order via drive-thru. The total was $18.44 no drink mind you Hell, There wasn't even any plastic ware or napkins in the bag. I feel like I had to post this so that people will become aware of the price gouging and go elsewhere, like perhaps Marty's in Wilson where I order a small combination plate it comes with three sides for a little over $8 What is it with these overpriced grills are your meats coming from China? This Grill is greedy and does not deserve my money any longer.

Great place, great food..friendly and curtious staff. Very popular spot around Wilson/black creek nc ..

Update 9/16/2020 I called in an order a few months back picked it up came home,i cant tember what was wrong but i know it was missing a hamburger steak plate, being told by the staff the ticket fell behind the grill. I contacted the owner and he told me he appreciated me letting him know and offered me a plate to replace it.i declined, but it was very cool of him to try to make it right with no questions ask. So i have only been once since then and everything was like requested.so tonight we order and come home after paying $52.00 for a chicken tender plate 2 bacon cheeseburgers atw add mayo and ketchup ,1 pimento bacon cheeseburger, 1 french fry, 1 chili cheese fry,1 cheese fry, and 12 wings. I come home to 2 plain bacon cheese burgers, (might as well been trash cause that not how i eat my bugers) and no cheese fry, no chili cheese fry, just 2 plain frys and i only asked for one plain. Anyway i understand that placing orders by phone my be hard for people with back ground noise in a reasturants. But she read the order back to me. So with the paying thise kind of prices i think everything should be accurate. Idk...no excuse, she read the order back, got it wrong and i...
