Well I have eating at black bear for many years and other than a few bad waitresses over the years over all the good is normally good. Well yesterday was beef tip and chicken tip day normally my favorite. But let me down dry and over cook. No seasoning no nothing. As cook myself the food was not cooked properly. So as a single mother of a 2 year old I to cook dinner and get my daughter settled. I wasn’t able to call last night but saved the food anyways since it was just horrible. I call today was told the manager was busy so left name and number. Decided to call back 2 hours later was told manager was gone for the day so I asked to leave my name and number for the owner. Less than a minute later manager calls me back. She was very nice but informed me that I was supposed to call last night. Didn’t want to lose me as a customer but to be honest the whole way this has been handled. You lost my business she said she was sorry to hear that and was the end of the conversation. Would’ve been nice to spoke...

It use to be amazing but like most restaurants they have cut way back on portion size and care/quality. My husband and I went in May 1st and 15 min after leaving we both became extremely ill and had to rush into a DG to use their restroom. We were both extremely ill for 3 days after. We know it was that food as the absolute only food we both had that day was breakfast that we eat every day. I spoke to a nurse and was told a hospital really can't help us but to rest and hydrate. That will absolutely be our last visit. We paid 40 dollars to be severely sick for 3...

A blast from the past! Where else can you get good food for a good price and end your meal with Yum Yum? This is the only place around these parts near or far. When I read it on the dessert menu board, my wife asked what I had been drinking back up the hill at Hometown Power Hardware. She was seated with her back to the sign, and she couldn't read what it said. I told her again, but she still didn't believe me. It was the first time I had seen it offered on a menu anywhere before. We had a very good lunch, met some nice people and enjoyed our...

Hello GregoryHello Gregory
Some of the best diner style food I have had in a long time. Made to order, hot and good portions. Plenty of dishes to choose from that were reasonably priced. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating with a simple hometown interior that was clean and bright. Took a chance to stop here and I’m glad I did. I felt right at home and I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again.

On December 5th, at 4 pm, my husband and I had dinner at this nice little restaurant. I had BBQ, fried okra, hush puppies, pintos, and Cherry Yum Yum. My husband had the country fried steak & gravy, mash potatoes & gravy, pintos, fresh made roll, and peanut butter pie. The food is delicious with generous portions, I couldn't eat it all. We will definitely return.

Ordered a burger with bacon and cheese, fries on the side and an order of mozzarella sticks and it was $20 dollars… for one person. Would be acceptable if everything was made fresh but this food is clearly frozen and thrown on a grill, the fries taste like they have freezer burn but the mozzarella sticks were good so that’s one plus.
