What both Shelby S. And Jack said in their very recent reviews below.
I’ve been coming to Canton pool with my kid and sometimes others since summer 2020. We used to have someone we cared about who lived relatively nearby. Last season probably went 20+ times! Despite fact that waterslide literally only worked first two times we were there in 2022.
This season first time yesterday (7/25/23) the Recreation park pool female guard from Gray, GA made a false allegation regarding my drink (USDA Organic tonic w/reishi mushrooms and no alcohol/fermentation involved, lol) stating it was “alcohol”. An assumption. She had to Google “adaptogens” yet stated she was educated. I schooled her on Critical Thinking/Humanities 115 which she claimed to have been familiar having taken the class. The pool manager came from his post nearby and I got my apology from both her and the manager.
I’m not sure why a municipality that just lost 1200 jobs would take a chance on making their customers experience a negative one and losing $10/visit(imho it should be no more than $4/each for out of town visitors like policy in Black Mountain)? You’d think they’d be kinder to visitors because without the manufacturing (which is a very sad thing to have watched unfold for this small mountain town) they’ll likely have to depend on visitors and tourism/tourists in the near future and even that won’t bring back 1200 jobs sadly.
Do better by your customers! Seriously debating if we will come back to this...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted to let our twin daughters swim for a little while on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Once we got to the gate to pay for our two daughters, who were the only two that were going to swim, my husband and I were told we were going to have to pay as well. We explained that we were not going to swim, but we wanted to let our girls swim and we were going to watch. We were told that even to watch our children swim we must pay as well. I further explained that we have come before and didn’t have to pay to sit and watch our girls swim, especially since one of the twins is considered legally blind and needs extra supervision. The staff was adamant about having the adults pay as well, so we decided to not stay. I had asked for a number to call to speak to someone about this and the older gentleman in the office came out of the office, threw his hands up in the air and seemed very irritated by our questions and concerns. This behavior from an adult man should not be acceptable, especially to display this in front of children. My husband and I said never mind and we quickly and quietly left. I am very shocked and disappointed in the service our family received today. I am also very concerned that now parents are being charged a fee to watch their children swim. It is a parent’s responsibility to watch and care for their children, even while they play. My husband and I are more than willing to sit down and speak to someone about this...
Read moreA little crowded for my taste and not enough places to get out of the sun. Only one area that looked like it was set up for parties, and it was full. We had to sit on the ground, which isn't too bad. They let you bring chairs, but we didn't realize this. I can't be in the sun for long periods of time so we couldn't stay long, but for most people, that might not be a issue. Overall it was clean and the staff were nice. I'm just used to a larger public pool with a lot of chairs and umbrellas. Overall, for a small town, it was a very nice pool area. It was crowded the day we went. I'm not sure if that is the norm. There were several large groups of kids that...
