I work hard for my money and to pay for horrible service šŖ is not right. The food is amazing š.. hands down. But if you're not spanish or a person of the fore fathers descent your not gonna be treated well at this place. I got there 844am on a Saturday it wasn't full. I waited by the door for 8min. Before the guy asked me what I wanted .. I said I wanted to sit down. He said go ahead so I proceeded to sit down. Then 4 of the workers came out the back along with him to look and watch where I sat.. after 10 mins and yes I timed it. Because this should not happen to anyone else. The lady came took my order... there were too guys that sat down 6 minutes after I did... they got there meal 6 minutes before I did. With there coffee and 2 drinks. And she left and came back with condiments. Will I waited. My food came. It was warm but really really good. I ate half. Bu now I'm ready for a refill. That I got up to ask for. Along with a condiments. I had to call on the restaurant phone for my ticket to pay. My complaint is the horrible š« service for a not busy day. And they should have a sign that says seat your self..Im of mixed decent and speak English and Spanish and it's not there. So I assumed u wait to be seated. Like I said the food is really good. Just they need better restaurant etiquette. I said please and thank you through out my experience š . I'm not say don't go . Maybe if you are a party of 3 or better the treatment is good. And FYI...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow I was pleasantly surprised at how good this food was in North Carolina I did not think that Mexican food would be this good here, but that's my bias. The cafe de olla; sweet, hot and cinnamon filled. When our server asked if we were ok with pilloncillo (unprocessed cane sugar) was a nice gesture, when I answered I'm Spanish she knew we were going to be ok. I like trying the chilaquiles and the refried beans or beans de la olla (stewed beans) to gauge a Mexican restaurant worthiness š¤. If they can't make basics or they're from a can I'm out. To my surprise that gilaquiles were super fresh and the most yummiest I've had in a long time and the beans that I took a photo of were so well made I'm surprised that my mom was not back there cooking them. We were there for breakfast and everyone that ordered breakfast thoroughly enjoyed it and thought that it was very authentic we will be back when we are in North Carolina and know that we will have to try the tacos and other Mexican snacks and our new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBuen Dia is easily the best Mexican restaurant in the Wilmington area. I grew up in El Paso and tried most of the other options in town. No one else touches them.
The food is stellar. They have the best corn tortillas Iāve ever had in my life. This time, I had the Con Chorizin, but I LOVE the Divorciados, several of the chilaquiles options, and the horchata is the best Iāve had since my childhood. Seriously, Iāve been to the Castle Hayne location many times and everything Iāve ever tried has been delicious. The new Wilmington location absolutely lives up to the expectations I had!
The service and atmosphere are fantastic, too. The owners and staff all make you feel like family. The new restaurant is beautiful and the decor is all so lovely and personal.
I genuinely canāt say enough good things about Buen Dia. Go as soon as you can and I guarantee youāre going to want to go back all the time. I was there yesterday and Iām pretty sure Iām...
