Chuckwagon Grill — Restaurant in North Carolina

Let me first say I have ate here many times and it was good but it has been a couple years since then. Tonight I called in an order for a grilled chicken garden salad. When my wife picked it up it had no chicken on it. I called back up there and asked why there was no chicken I was asked if I called my order in by the young lady who had taken my order 10 mins earlier. When I told her she was the one who took my order she asked me to hold please then came back and preceeded to tell me that I didn't order chicken on it. When I told her I did she emphatically said I didn't and then said "so!" To which I responded "so, what?" She said I didn't pay for a chicken salad only a vegetable salad. So your telling me it's $10 for a plain salad with no meat. She then told me if I wanted to come back up there and pay for a chicken salad she would make me one otherwise she didn't know what I wanted. I know everyone has off days but it was completely unprofessional and had she made it right could have picked up some extra business from a mile down the road but I can't call and order when things are handled...

I love Chuckwagon, they have got the best hamburger in town. Now I eat mine with chilli and slaw(best slaw ever). The grilled chicken salad is really good!!! I got my sister to go, she's a vegetarian. Her favorite meal is cheese melted on a bun w/ extra slaw and extra pickles. The homemade onionrings are real real good. I have tried several things and everything was good. They have a variety of food to choose from. There is only one thing I don't like at all, their tea it is awful. That's the one thing they need to fix. It doesn't keep me from going. But I would love to have a good cup of tea with my great meal, that would give them a 6...

I moved to the area almost 2 years ago. I drove past Chuckwagon everyday and after about a year of doing so, my husband and I finally decided to stop by when they had Flounder for their daily special. We've been hooked ever since. I'm embarrassed to say how many times a week we eat there. There have been some minor mishaps but nothing that would that deter us from not coming back. We have really gotten to know Angela really well, we just love her! We will be relocating to Alabama soon and we're going to miss this place tremendously.
