Freight Yard Grill and Bar — Restaurant in North Carolina

Unfortunately I have to change my review to a 1 star due to the food I received on Saturday. Came in with our party of 6 as usual when we visit family every other month. Sat down and was able to order the last 2 ribeyes they had and I wish I didn’t. I ordered the steaks medium and they came out well done with absolutely no seasoning like they were from the previous months visit. Being on carnivore diet I literally only ordered the 2 steaks with no sides. I ate about 1/4 of one and just couldn’t do it I asked for a Togo tray and figured I’d try to do something different on the way home. Basically spent $62-65 bucks for something I couldn’t eat. Food is actually done from a food truck called Beaus Grill outside the Freightyard.

Not much to look at from the outside, But the food will absolutely rock your world, well, it did mine at least. We had macaroni bites to start and they were the perfect outside while the creamiest flavorful macaroni and cheese inside. I had a cheddar bacon burger, wife had a beau burger, a double dragon burger was had by a brave soul, and a sloppy joe. Everything was fantastic, no sauce needed, onion rings were perfectly done, light and awesome.

Staff were slow, maybe short handed, but nice. Food was a little lacking. I got a Soppy Joe with slaw. The SJ was too sweet and greasy. The bun literally collapsed around it. Lots of meat but too sloppy. The slaw tasted store bought. Too sweet and vinegary. The best thing was the sweet tea. Really sweet but not bitter. And they had real lemon to add in. The tea I’ve been getting lately is bitter tasting and nobody has lemon. Not even the little packs. I would try this place again but try another item. Maybe their burgers if they...
