Pelican's SnoBalls — Restaurant in North Carolina

My kids and I absolutely love this place! I have had sno-cones literally all over the country and none have compared to these. None of their flavors will stain your clothes, so it's safe for the kids (and you). Of the flavors I have tried (6-8?) they have all been quality and don't taste like the garbage you typically get from a fair. They have some very "grown up" flavors too. The Plum is unique and delicious as is the POG (Pineapple, Orange, Guava) and the "Tingle" (Pineapple, Orange, Guava and something else I can't remember). They are my favorites so far.

Oh, if you decide to go regularly like we do, be sure to buy the Pelican's Coins. They are good for $1 each and you get 25 for $20. If someone in your group gets a small ($1.50) they will still give you the change, unlike some businesses who sell discounted prepaid tokens like this.

Even though they have many locations, they still operate like a small-town, single-location small business. I value that...

I love Pelican’s I have been going there for years. This visit on Sunday March 23 around 4pm EST was my first time at this location. I’m disappointed in the service and hospitality that I received from this location. There was a blonde hair in my snow ball. I have black hair so it absolutely was not mine. I showed the hair to the girl with brown hair and blonde streaks named Mia and she was very unapologetic and asked me what I wanted her to do about it. Mia said it didn’t belong to her because she just started her shift and maybe it came from the guy with blonde hair who was there before her. Wonderful place to take your kids! We stopped by here almost every day after school in the warm months. The staff, no matter who was working, was always wonderful. And the snow cones AND ice cream are AWESOME. The owner is so great as well. He's done birthday parties for some of us, gone to the local school etc. and he's just a joy to work with for sure. There is a putt putt golf next door and a playground so it's just a great place to hang out and get a summer treat. He also opens early sometime in April which was great!
