A quaint and clean shoppe suitable for an impromptu ice cream date.

They have a wide selection of flavors. I tried the one with the maraschino cherries in it (couldn’t tell you what they call it), while my fiancée got their birthday-cake-flavored ice cream. I liked mine, but I probably wouldn’t ask for it again; she enjoyed hers, but wasn’t a fan of the cake-chunks in the ice cream. Some things are better left simple — but to each their own.

The ambiance for their outdoor seating in their evening is nice. Very tranquil, despite the seating area being positioned near the roadside. I would like to mention, however, that there is a fire station literally right next door, but it’s hardly a bother and doesn’t negatively impact the setting.

My only qualm about this place is that the server who helped us manhandled our waffle cones with his bare hands, which appears to be a normal occurrence here. It might just be a me-thing, but any sort of food handling that involves touching items I will eat with your bare hands is just gross.

I would definitely come back here, but I’ll probably just get a cup of ice cream instead of a waffle cone.

EDIT: In reply to the owner’s response, I am very aware of the paper wrapping that is glued to your waffle cones. That did not stop your employee from holding the uncovered portion with his bare hands, despite the paper. It’s gross. Wear gloves if that’s how you...

I stopped at Riley’s Delights on my way home from work today for a little treat to lift my spirits! I definitely made the right decision! They had HOMEMADE cobblers!!! I chose blackberry, warmed up with vanilla ice cream! You could tell that the berries were fresh and the crust was PERFECT! I also bought two jars of HOMEMADE JesseJames pickles!!😁 There were so many different kinds to chose from, but I settled on Bread and Butter and Sweet Heat!! (Another right decision!🤤) Bread and Butter has always been my favorite BUT now I’m sure it’s my second favorite because that Sweet Heat is BANGING!!! They nailed the sweet/heat ratio! I hope they have acres of cucumbers growing somewhere so I never have to run...

I am just a visitor to the whole North Carolina ice cream scene, but I can’t imagine anyone does ice cream better than Riley. I am ashamed to say I have been here twice in the week I have been in Statesville. I have done the two scoop medium twice. Different flavors just to dabble, and I am so glad I did. The portion size is very reasonable and the price is very good. It’s a lovely little store off to the side of the road and the service was fantastic. Even when it got busy, and it got busy, the young lady behind the counter was able to meet everyone’s needs. Also, they have an amazing selection. Well done Riley and everyone, do yourself a favor and seek this place out. You will not be...

Cute and very clean little place. Large variety of flavors and ample indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is cute and mural looks amazing. Can’t wait to see balloon finished. When you go, we recommend that you get a spoon. There’s nothing so sweet as to eat your treat With a spoon that’s pink but when cold becomes purple I think COLOR CHANGING SPOONS!!
