My visit to Sierra Nevada in Asheville was an absolute delight from start to finish. The 45-minute tour we embarked on was nothing short of captivating, allowing us to explore the brewery's inner workings and granting us access to behind-the-scenes areas.
Upon arrival, the first thing that struck us was the sheer beauty of the building and its surroundings. The architecture was stunning, and the grounds were immaculately kept, creating a picturesque setting for our visit.
The customer service was exceptional, with the staff displaying a genuine warmth and enthusiasm that added to the already positive vibes of the place. It was evident that they were passionate about what they do, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
We were pleased to find that there was ample parking available, and even better, it was free—a rare find these days.
The selection of beers was impressive, with a wide variety to choose from.
Even without taking the tour, one could wander through the corridors, soaking in the history and accessing several rooms of the factory. However, the paid tour took our experience to another level, providing us with a comprehensive understanding of the brewery's history and operations.
At the conclusion of the tour, we were treated to a tasting of four beers, which was both informative and enjoyable. It was fascinating to learn about the unique qualities of each beer and the thought process behind their creation.
For beer connoisseurs, Sierra Nevada is a must-visit. The facility and property are stunning, both in terms of their beauty and design. Every aspect of the experience, from the tour to the tasting, was expertly crafted to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience.
In conclusion, our trip to Sierra Nevada was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of excellent customer service, beautiful surroundings, and top-notch beer made for a truly memorable visit. We can't...
Read moreWe are Volunteers with Operation BBQ Relief from all across the US.... Pa, Texas, Arkansas Military deployed here from Columbia And a local resident volunteering her time in Florida and NC We were brought together because of Hurricane Helene, and choose to spend our last night together at Siera Nevada. Having been here before I knew it was the perfect place to end our time together. We had an absolutely wonderful time and boy did we laugh and eat. But nothing prepares you for how your "work in town" and our desire to support the local businesses affect the workers. Our server, Jeremiah, was the absolute BEST! His gracious way, fun spirit, and on board attitude made for a memorable night together. We love you Jeremiah and hope and pray for your family and community. Thank you for catering to all our requests, and the dealing with our "spicy girl". We plan to reunite and look forward to coming back to visit. And all the food was amazingly delicious..... the Breaded Olives, the Brick oven Pizza (my personal favorite), the fries, the burgers, the wings which were plenty spicy for the majority of us.... Everything was delicious and the memories made will last forever. Thank you!
*Updated 7/23/2025... As we gathered back in NC for an upcoming training weekend, we decided to come together a few days earlier back at where we all said our Good byes after our first disaster deployment came to an end. And what a pleasant surprise to see our 2 Favorite Sierra Nevada people Jeremiah and Gina. This time we waited just so we could be seated in Jeremiah's section and while we waited we caught up with Gina. Once again a great night, great dining experience, great food, but most importantly great being welcomed back by Gina...

⭐⭐⭐ Great Beer, Underwhelming Food — Time for a Reimagined Concept
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. continues to deliver world-class beer — no complaints there. But the taproom restaurant experience feels like an afterthought, especially considering how iconic the brand is in the craft beer world.
The food is inconsistent and lacks the creativity you’d expect from a place pouring such complex brews. Service is hit-or-miss, and the atmosphere doesn’t quite match the legacy and innovation that Sierra Nevada represents.
As a longtime fan, I’d love to see them lean into a reimagined concept — maybe something like “Sierra Table – A Craft Beer Kitchen.” Imagine a chef-driven menu designed around the beer, not just beside it.
Suggested improvements could include: • Menu sections like “Perfect with Pale Ale” (light fried apps, ceviche, grilled meats), “IPAs & Intensity” (spicy wings, curry cauliflower), and “Porter & Dark Ales” (brisket sliders, mole tacos). • Monthly beer pairing dinners or chef + brewer collaborations to elevate the experience. • A focus on local and sustainable sourcing — partner with farms and showcase them on a “Beer + Farm of the Month” board.
Sierra Nevada has everything it needs to make the restaurant as memorable as the beer. I hope they consider evolving the food program to reflect the same passion and craft that goes...
