Waited too long for someone to take my orders. So I went again on October the 17th. This time I did not mind waiting in the line because it's almost like waiting at the the CarHop where they have it you have to wait anyway. So that make me feel that my food is being made to order. The young lady that took my order I could tell she seem like she was very overwhelmed and felt like just quitting but at the same time she still gave the common courtesy of customer service and still was patient to take those orders that she were taking because the line was very very long. They were taking five cars at a time which is understandable if my food is being made to order when I am waiting like that. I cannot blame her for how my food is I only can give her the applause of being patient courtesy and taking my order. Her name is Koyia. It's not my food on the other hand I can't even I don't want to even make it bad I just want to focus it on her I'll just leave my pictures.

Last time visiting this location. The wait is always long and my food is always terrible. If I wait anything past 5 mins for my food, I’m expecting hot fresh delicious food. But I get cold and nasty food. I went here today around 3-3:30pm after dropping off my niece at home from the express stop up the road. I just wanted a bite to eat. I usually get the large chili and cheese tater tot, the mozzarella sticks and a drink. The tots were cold and the cheese sticks taste like they redipped them in the grease. But the kicker was when I got ready to dip one of the cheese sticks in the marinara sauce, the sauce had some type of substance in it or something. (See photos) I went to the door and spoke with a manager. She was nice but it didn’t seem like she cared much. I was a new pack, it wasn’t punctured or anything. I opened it and that’s what was in the sauce. But this experience was it for me. I’m done with this one and the one in Gastonia.

So I came here on 3/10/25 at 9:32 PM, and I was immediately turned off by the service—lol. When I first pulled up, I said, “Hello,” since no one greeted me, and the worker instantly responded, “I’m the only one in here; you’re going to need to wait.” No “hello,” no “good evening,” nothing. But I was like, “That’s fine, I can wait.” As I was waiting, I was on the phone with my window down so I could hear when she was ready to take my order. Out of nowhere, she told me I was being too loud… like, what?! At that point, I just apologized and drove off because it was clear she had an attitude. After reading all the other bad reviews about this location, I have to ask—why isn’t corporate doing anything about this? Clearly, this isn’t a one-time issue. It just shows that they truly don’t value their customers. I would not recommend coming here at night unless you enjoy bad attitudes and weird service. Definitely a disappointing experience!

My children I went here a couple Saturdays ago. We usually go to Concord Sonic and get our fav drinks but since we were in the area we decided to stop at this one. We approach the drive thru and the young lady did ask for a moment, which lead to 10 min of waiting to place order. Then we put in our regular sonic order : 2 Route 44 cherry limeades extra ice, extra cherries, extra cherry flavor and a Route 44 strawberry limeade slush add nerds. I pull yo window to lay and the cashier ask me did I want my change because they didn’t have any. I stated yes I did. She gave me my change and We did receive our cherry limeades but then she handed Me a clear route 44 drink with nerds. I explained to her that I order a strawberry limeade slush with nerds. She then brings a clear route 45 slush with nerds. Just to confirm I asked her was this a Strawberry Limeade slush because it was clear, while My son tasted it. He said it wasn’t so I told her to let’s just change to something else. We asked For a rainbow slushy and she bought that to me in a small kids cup. I told her it was a route 44 and she said Sonic does not do route 44 slushes any longer only small cups. Since i had been on line for a while. I pulled over to check menu and it was clearly still up there and I pushed the button to ask her for my difference in price since I was charged for a route 44. She says ok but I had pull back around in the drive thru, which at this point Drive thru line was quite lengthy. I walked up to drive thru where there is door and I assume it was the manager came out and in a nasty tone says all you are getting back is 50 cent. I took the 50 cent That she dropped in my had and left because With all that I went through in last few Months, I didn’t Want This to ruin my day. I immediately called Sonic customer Service to complain about my experience. The representative state the general manager would be notified and contacted and then will reach out to me. I have not since heard anything but this was a Horrible experience and we now only go to the one in Concord that has wonderful customer service and gives you items that are listed...

My family has lived in this area my entire life, I remember impatiently waiting with excitement as a child during the construction of this store. Its litterally a 1 minute walk away from my home and always loved going here to do my homework as a kid. The quality of the service recieved at this location has depreciated extremely and has become so painfully atrocious and unnerving. They are supposedly open until 11P.M but good luck recieving service after 10P.M especially if you are on foot, just the other night I got off at the bus stop in front of the store at 10:40P.M and walked to one of the kiosks to simply order a Peach Tea, at first I think they tried to ignore me(which wouldn't be the first time, and I could clearly here the employee telling the manager they weren't making me anything ) by declining my request when I pressed the red button to order, after a few times they finally answered and as usual immediately declined my request (using the kiosk speaker to communicate) by making the excuse that all the kiosks were out of order and they were only taking drive through without even trying to see what I was interested in (it was just a beverage.) They provide the same excuses to drive thru customers as well in order to clean the grill and shut down the store before it closes so they can leave immediately at 11. They also prioritize drive thru orders over parked or on foot orders, I waited 20 minutes for cheesy tots while I watched cars that weren't even in the parking lot when I ordered pulling off with much larger orders. I have 7 years of over achieving management experience and even thought about applying for their open management position they had advertised because I thought the neglectful service was due to under staffing, my multiple attempts were brutally ignored for 3 months ( I've already been hired and just became assistant manager with a different company and still never heard a word.) this location has formed an extremely bad reputation locally with everyone Ive talked with about the service recieved here in the past...

Service is extremely slow. Good luck any time after 7PM. Ordered two shakes and they showed up 10 minutes later melted. You're better off paying cash so that you can just drive off without losing anything but time when they decide your order is the one that should be pushed to the back of the line.

Update for 2020: Ordered ice cream on the app, 5 minutes or so after checking in they come out and say the ice cream machine is down for cleaning. They claimed that they regularly do it around this time when it's not busy. It was 2 o'clock in the afternoon on a Sunday with temps in the upper 70s. Who shuts down an ice cream machine then? Why not do it first thing in the morning when no one is getting ice cream for breakfast? It seems like very poor management decisions happen here. On top of that, they could not refund me because it was ordered on the app and advised me to call corporate.

Later the same week, I waited in a stall for half an hour to get one under mixed, severely under topped sub par promotional blast. Meanwhile a dozen cars had been served in the drive thru. After asking them what was going on twice, both times they claimed that the ice cream machine was not running cold enough and it needed tone to refreeze. I think it more likely that they just lost my order, particularly since the kiosk said my order was on its way after 5 minutes and shortly thereafter someone in the drive thru turned away a blast. I doubt I ever would have gotten my order if not for pestering them twice.

Update for 2022: Pulled in to a stall on a Saturday afternoon for some ice cream and was told to pull into the (mile long) drive thru to place an order. I promptly left. Not sure what the point of being a drive in is if you can't pull in and park for curbside service. Hire help and/or stop letting your employees be lazy. Maybe I'll try...
