My grandfather recently passed away. And me and my eleven year old daughter were still hurting from the loss, as he was my daughter's great grandfather, and she was very close to him. The past couple of times that we ate from Sonya's Grill in Supply NC were nice. We got food from there and took the food home and watched a movie and we enjoyed it. Last Thursday afternoon I thought that I would order us the meal that we usually eat and go home and watch a movie to boost me and my daughter's spirits. We had been talking about eating there for a couple of weeks, and when I would mention eating there, my little girl's face would light up with joy. I called that afternoon not knowing what time Sanya's closed, and a girl in her late teens or early twenties answered the phone in a frustrated tone and saying; "hello, hello, and as I was trying to speak back to her, she would not answer me, only saying hello and pausing before finally asking me who is this?" I answered and told her my name trying to be polite, I asked; "how are you?" She then immediately hung up on me. I waited for approximately two minutes, and I called back. This time it was Sonya (the owner of the restaurant) who answered me, and in a hateful voice, she asked; "who is this, what do you want, and said that we are closed." I then asked; "why did you answer the phone, if you were not going to take my order, and you were only going to hang up on me?" She then started to yell at me using profanity, and not allowing me to answer. I tried to get a word in, and said; "I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau on her." She then hung the phone up on me. I admit that I should probably not have said that I was going to contact the BBB on her in a frustrated voice. But I was very upset by what was done to me, and so was my daughter because she could hear the conversation. This pretty much ruined any chance of us lifting our spirits, and made me feel bad for the rest of the weekend, and I did my best to smooth things over with my daughter and make her feel better and to try and get her to forget about it. Exactly forty two minutes after Sonya hung up on me, my phone rang and displayed No Caller ID. I did not answer the phone, already weak spirited, so I let the call go to voice mail. When my phone notified me of a voice mail, I listened to the message, and it was a Sheriff's Deputy stating that Sonya said that I had called her restaurant, and some words were said, and that I threatened her. The officer said that Sonya said that I was never welcomed to come back on the property again. He then whispered, just don't come back up there and everything would be all good, and don't worry about it. After being saddened by loosing a close family member, and having to deal with being mistreated at a professional establishment, it is needless to say that I am very upset with the owner of Sonya's Grill. And being upset, I felt like I was mistreated badly, and the owner handled the situation very unprofessionally. I am angry and my feelings are hurt to be honest with you. I enjoyed eating there with my family, and now I can't ever eat there again, because Sonya's worker (which I think may be her daughter), was having a bad day, and took it out on me, and I got punished for it. My point for telling my story is just to say like the lady in the video said, and so many others are saying, you never know what someone is going through, and you never know how much damage that you are doing to someone by being mean, rude, or unpleasant to them. And it is much worse if someone is going through something horrible, like a death in their family, or 'anything bad,' and you are being mean to them on top of that. Just please be nice to people, because you never know what someone is dealing with! And being nice is a lot more easier and pleasant...
Read moreSo disappointed… 55$ dollars later and we ended up leaving hungry. Ordered the catfish plates x2 and the breading on it was overcooked, dark brown and the catfish was slimy mush. 🤢The potato wedges were over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. It looked like old they were using old oil and had it way too hot. Its too bad bc their menu has a big variety but food it is not good. Something wasn't right… after they offered to exchange the two catfish dinners for something else they tried charging me for the 1.30$ difference for my exchange to a shrimp dinner! But didn’t mention the 5$ difference my husband should of had coming back to him bc his exchange was for a chicken wrap which was cheaper! They wanted 1.30 from me when they actually owed me 4.00$ which i didn’t dream to ask for! On the up side. my daughter ordered a cheesecake slice and it was delicious, but then again that was probably ordered frozen from Sysco and all they had to do was cut it. Im not one for slamming someones business but the shadiness with wanting more money for a mistake they made and serving slimy mushy fish is...

Which I thought was cool because we don’t have that back home. I inquired about the size of sandwich and decided it was too small for my husband and I. She then suggested the cat fish as a sandwich. Which I asked for clarification to make sure I heard correctly that it was indeed a sandwich with no bones. she said yes even talked me into upsizing to a platter instead. After getting my platter with sides and realizing there was no bread I asked for bread and Instead of just giving me two small slices of bread that would’ve been 1.99 at the most for an entire loaf at the grocery store and admitting the small mistake, cashier didn’t seem to remember talking about a sandwich, straight lied about the initial interaction and insisted I pay for the bread being added. In GA where I’m from, the catfish plates automatically come with some type of bread, whether it a roll or just a slice of bread. Not sure where the mix up was but was very clear when I said I...
