Hi... Starfish grill I'm Prediabitic.... I have Crohn's disease.... I do thank God 🕊for Ms Cassie Fleahearty and family of starfish grill.... I praise God🕊 of the owner Dennis and Ms Laurie give the fact I have not been there so I thank God for Ms Cassie Fleahearty ( kitchen grill management of starfish grill... Restraunt...Personally I loved that I meet the owners Dennis and Laurie which I'd thank them in person ( Dennis and Laurie)...fir the best owners ..For being the owners of starfish grill knowing it's based on good food and respectfulness...good food and good service go hand in hand at starfish grill... Whom I ( ) humblely approve of the hospitality ( starfish grill)...I would tell everyone to go to eat at starfish grill because of the humbleness it( starfish grill) has as a family oriented family atmosphere and personally the owners ( Dennis and Laurie) are the best ....including my favourite Christian artist toby Mac... And all actors like lion king (Timon my favorite) personally ... In hopes...So personally I would love to eat at starfish grill but I'm leaving back to Texas soon... in hopes of next year I get to eat at starfish grill and be welcome with a good warm heart ❤to me ( ) takes to run a Cassie Fleahearty ( kitchen y) and crew of starfish grill...and the taste the hospitality in North Carolina ...I praise God 🕊that all restraunts and business alike reach the potential I see starfish grill thanks to Ms Cassie Fleahearty ( kitchen management) ....as soon as I move back next year to Texas I ( ) recommend starfish grill ...for the reason personally I Gloria will be in Texas but I believe 🙏in Cassie Fleahearty ( kitchen management)and crew of starfish....grill... Give the fact I ( Gloria) heard so much of from Ms Cassie Fleahearty saying it's ( starfish grill) is good food and service wonderful ✨... Service...Now I found yesterday out I'm ( Gloria) is cancerous ... Personally.. But I praise God 🕊that Ms Cassie Fleahearty is here or at work ( starfish grill) ... Which either way is a blessing 🙏.... So I thank God for the hospitality of my brother Ms Cassie and family ( mom Sylvia &lil Gracie).... And Allen ( lil Gracie father) ... And in my affects it of presence too of Dennis and Laurie ( the owners) of starfish grill ...I praise God 🕊worthy for honest andcclean whole some family atmosphere for the owner of( starfish grill) Dennis and Laurie whom I had the privilege to meet in person...not at the restaurant ( starfish grill) ...And in the manner of hopes of starfish grill I get to go to see my favorite restraunt ( starfish grill) ...personally next year when possible going back to Texas (this year in November) or so😔...before personally starfish grill I'm prayerful of the restaurant ( starfish grill) cuz Ms Cassie Fleahearty says so many things...so I praise God 🕊for mom Sylvia cuz in October and operation... So I respect Ms Cassie Fleahearty and starfish grill (crew)... Whom ever ( the crew is at starfish grill... And owners of Dennis and Laurie... If I knew last name personally Mr Dennis and Ms Laurie the owner of starfish grill whom the honor in hopes is on Facebook ... So Worthy I praise praise God🕊... So impressed! I didn’t think there was a decent grill in Carteret County until we ate here. It’s a tucked away gem! Excellent menu with seafood and landlubber options that was interesting enough to keep a couple foodies wanting to come back. We started with a garden salad that was varied and delicious with a lettuce mix, English cucumber, carrot shreds, red onion, red bell pepper, and a nice balsamic vinaigrette. It was much nicer than the typical tasteless iceberg, bland tomato, and carrot wimpy salad most places serve. My wife had the fried oyster special with French fries and she had so many oysters she had to share. I had blackened whitefish (catfish) with tavern chips. My only knock on the food was the fish wasn’t really blackened, just grilled with seasoning. The fish was good but not great. The tavern chips they serve were perfect and I ate every one.

Service was great but I can see if they get really busy it might be a little slower, things were slow when we came in and picked up as we were leaving. My other big knock is I have a food allergy (dairy) and like to see allergen information on menus. It’s becoming more common and makes mine and the servers life easier because it’s tough to know all the ingredients to every dish. They were able to accommodate me but I always feel more secure when I can see it printed.

Overall, we will for sure be back and can’t wait to bring visiting family and friends here to eat. Go check...

We love Starfish Grill! And we have to thank our friends for telling us about it so many months ago…

It’s the kind of place that you order your usual- mine is the grilled salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes. It is always tasty and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend orders a different dish each time, though, ranging from wings and a salad to hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I think that I ordered the broccoli a long time ago and didn’t like it, but the green are delicious, so I don’t mind about the broccoli.

What we like about this place: it’s a small, family atmosphere with friendly wait staff that go out of their way to make you feel at home. Tonight, it was busier than usual, so our wait time at the door was 3 minutes rather than immediately sitting down. Our waitress grabbed an extra table for us to accommodate us. The only complaints that I have are that they took the spinach artichoke dip off the menu and if you sit in front of the AC, it can be cold.

Tonight we split a brownie a la mode 4 ways, and it was plenty and actually fun to share. I like the decor, and every time we’re there, I think about ordering some custom signs with coordinates on them for family members far away. They have great nautical decor with a great story behind their name- it’s painted...
