Trails End Grill — Restaurant in North Carolina

It has been awhile since the last time I visited Trails End . I don't know why I waited so long. Pinnacle, North Carolina dining out options are very limited. I think I picked the best option. Entering I was greeted with a friendly welcome and smile. The place was busy yet they took my take out order right away. The place was clean I ordered six hot dogs all the way, three fries and three sweet teas. for a couple of workers and myself. Five minutes later I was walking out the door with my paid order. I drove back to my job on Stony Ridge Rd. about 3 minutes away and delivered lunch to my workers. I laid out all the food on the table. These guys couldn't believe that I was gone ten minutes and brought back such a meal. The dogs and fries were still too hot to bite into and waited a minute to cool. When we did tear into them the hot dogs were terrific. The fries were cooked just right. The tea was fresh. Perfectly sweetened. Very refreshing. Awesome. Wow. What a great small town diner. We went for lunch and had the best patty melt I've ever had. My wife loved their ice tea, and that's a rare compliment. The restaurant is small and cozy, and there aren't a lot of tables, but there are seats up at the counter, just like I grew up with. They have a wide variety of items on their menu, so I'm sure everyone can find something they'll enjoy. BTW, be sure to add a side salad (for $1) which is very good. We will definitely be coming back, again and again. Note: sign on the wall says they close at 3 PM Mon-Fri, and I don't know if they reopen later for dinner, so check first if going later than 3 PM. Great breakfast! Everything was delicious. Sausage patties, scrambled eggs, blueberry (on the inside) pancakes, boneless porkloin, biscuits, gravy and even the sweet tea!!! Usually there's one or two items that are just OK or even bad. EVERYTHING was GREAT. I travel North and South Carolina and eat breakfast at least 5 times a week in different cities. This was absolutely one of the best breakfasts I've eaten. Price was very fair and reasonable. The place is small with regulars but everybody was nice and welcoming. Staff was very friendly!
