Don't judge a book by its cover. I have been coming there the last 2 Sundays and tonight I went out to have a smoke in the car bc the hillbilly music was too much and I don't smoke around others, well after eating some ok boneless wings, and helping my mom with her soggy soggy nachos, I needed a break. I brought the nachos up to our server and she made every excuse in the book, being a server she came off like I boring or interrupting her. I think her name was Misty. Anyway I walked out to my car and as soon as I get in I notice my server and another following me and checking to see what car I was in, REALLY SO SO TACKY. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TABLES, DONT WAIT UNTIL A HOUR AFTER THEY ATE TO EVEN WALK BY AND ACKNOLDGE THEM. SHE DIDNT ASK HOW OUR FOOD WAS AND I FOUND SHE WAD QUITE RUDE. After I noticed they had to see of I was running on my chevk, when I came back I told my mom what happened and she said she had explained to them I was her daughter and I wouldn't skip on any bill and that I went to smoke. WHEN I CONFRONTED THR SERVER SHE LIED TO MY FACE AND SAID MY MOTHER NEVER SAID THAT. WOWWWWWWW I AM NOT YOUR TYPICAL HANOVER OR SPRING GROVE HILLBILLY, I HAVR A DIFFERENT LOOK, A SHAVED HEAD and a different look. YOU SHOULDNT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER, EXPAND YOUR MIND AND GET OUT OF THR HILLS AND OPEN YOUR MIND THAT UNIQUE OR DIFFERENT PEOPLE ARENT BAD, WE ACTUALLY TIP BETTER TOO BUT SHAME ON YOU. Cool Atmosphere. Your typical dive bar. Food was your average bar food. But what really made the rating plummet was the waitress. I’m not sure if she’s there anymore, I took time before I left the review…but, she just seemed like she absolutely hated her job. Wasn’t friendly. Almost seemed irritated to have to take our order or bring us condiments or refills. It took over an HOUR for us to get our food. For a few fried baskets, that’s hard to accept as okay. For us to even get servers attention we had to play the staring game to try to get her because she was just busy standing at the bar register talking and laughing it up with the bar patrons. Classic roadside bar feel. Be advised this place is cash only, there is an ATM on premises. Walk in and all the locals turn and look at you. Our bartender/waitress Cindy was fantastic. Warm and welcoming, she explained the specials, the menu, and gave us fast attentive service. I had wings which were perfectly cooked with a very tasty mango habanero sauce. The have bone in and boneless along w pizza, burgers, salads, subs and a decent selection of seafood. My wife and I shared some Mozzarella sticks which were also perfectly cooked and the marinara was very good. My wife got cheese fries which was a very generous plate full topped with lots (maybe too much) cheese. This place has a decent beer menu as well. All in all very good simple food, excellent service.
