Best spot in Lake Erie, bar none. Presque isle cannot compete. The view of the sunset will ease your soul. It is a hidden gem. Prices are very reasonable but I suspect once they are more fully established and any and all renovations are complete they might sadly increase their prices. Crab cake was delicious. The steak and shrimp skewers were nicely done but the texture of both was odd. I'm guessing the steak was soaking in a tenderizer for a good long while. Aside from the it was still tasty. Second night we had the chicken wings. They were nice and meaty with an excellent smoke flavor but again here I suspect they were soaked in a brine or the wings were injected with the saline solution from the producer. Those solutions always give meat a very odd texture. Outside of that the taste was excellent. The seasonal vegetables were sauteed summer squashes and onion. The crab cake with seasinal vegetables and the dill Cole slaw, were my absolute favorite with a reasonable price tag of $20. It was these that brought us back for a second time. The waitresses were incredibly sweet and attentive. The owner is lucky to have them!

Read the reviews on Google and decided to come to the Blue Pike Grille. The entryway is not clearly marked. Confusing to know where to enter. No sign saying to wait to be seated or to seat yourself. A waitress soon came over (as I’m sure we looked confused!) and guided us towards a good seat. Beautiful view of the marina and we got there in time to see the beautiful sunset over Lake Erie. Definitely the highlight of our visit. We ordered our meals, then waited 40 minutes for it to arrive. I ordered the Herb Roasted Chicken that was supposed to come with Seasoned Smashed New Potatoes and Seasonal Grilled Veggies. My chicken was tasteless and rubbery. The potatoes turned out to be one roasted golden potato (it was wonderful!) The veggies were way overcooked, chopped tiny, and were seasoned with all the salt available in North East, PA. No joke. My husband said his Sirloin Steak meal was good, just a tiny portion. We were still hungry after this meal - so we went to a local pizza place and ordered food there. We still don’t understand how the Blue Pike grill had a 4.5 rating.

My wife and I took a motorcycle ride to check out North East's newest restaurant. The menu was very good. I had the Cardiologist Carnivore sandwich. It was loaded as the name suggests and, although that made it a bit hard to eat as a sandwich, it was very tasty. The view from the dining room was overlooking the marina on Lake Erie. The deck had plenty of seating as well. We'll be back.

This place has potential, but our first visit left a lot to be desired.

When we arrived, there was some initial confusion—there was no hostess or signage, so we weren’t sure if we should seat ourselves. Eventually, a server coming out from the kitchen noticed us and helped out, but clearer direction upon entering would be helpful.

When it came time to order, I asked for a burger, only to be told they were out. The server asked if I wanted to see the menu again, and I chose the Philly steak. A few minutes later, they returned again to say that was also unavailable, so I settled on the pork tacos. By this point, it felt like most of the menu was unavailable, which was frustrating.

The real kicker came when, about 10 minutes later, a server called out across the outdoor seating to another staff member that burgers were available again. I would have happily waited the extra time if I had known, as that was my first choice.

When the food finally arrived—about 45 minutes after ordering—it was okay, but underwhelming for the price. The pork tacos were decent, but they seemed like pulled pork with grilled onions and a strip of sour cream, which felt a bit bare for the cost.

We want to see this place succeed, but better communication, menu accuracy, and service speed would go a long way toward making the...

We visited for lunch on 6/18. The view is great and waitress seemed friendly so we really wanted to like the place. Sorry to say it went downhill fast. It took 45 minutes for my wife's salad to come out. Another 15 minutes later, they still had not brought me the cheesesteak sandwich that I ordered. When the waitress finally came around to ask my wife how she liked the salad, I asked about my food. She muttered something that sounded like "oops" and ran back inside. She came back out in a few minutes with an explanation that they gave my cheesesteak to the wrong table and said that they could make one for me in 20 minutes. All pretty funny considering there were less than a dozen people there in total and I spied nobody eating a cheesesteak. The owner or manager should have come out and apologized instead of making the waitress take the blame. The table next to us also experienced "staggered" food delivery. Three individuals got served at the same time and about 10 minutes later they brought out the food for the fourth diner. What type of restaurant brings food out piecemeal instead of all at the same time? The answer - a restaurant that is soon out of business. Needless to say we decided to cut our...
