Roland's Trattoria and Takeout Kitchen — Restaurant in North Franklin Township

Pizza night could be any night in our house, and several nights a week at that. Well, today is pizza night at Roland's and it's time we try a pie. We went with just a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots for our first time. I arrived 10 minutes early for my pickup order. The parking lot was packed! Business was booming, and they were running orders out to cars left and right. Now I've only had the pleasure of having Roland's once before they closed their doors. This is the first time since they have opened for takeout that we have ordered. So I really didn't know what to expect. Efficient and safe pickup.... ✔️

Bam, food came out right on the money! Right as the clock struck the desired pickup time I choose here it comes to my car! The gentleman read my order to me to ensure it was received correctly and was extremely friendly. I don't know about yinz, but I love when I'm thanked for my order and told "I sure hope you enjoy it". Just makes me know I definitely ordered from the right place. Good Customer service.... ✔️

I have a short ride home, but the smells were killin me. I get it in the door with the quickness and we dig in. It's covered in pepperoni, floppy, foldy, greasy, cheesey, and just what the Dr. ordered after a long day. We both absolutely loved it and making wife happy makes me happy. Pizza in general makes me happy, lol but yinz already know that! The garlic knots were reallllly good to, especially with the marinara they give you 🤤🤤. Great Food.... ✔️

Roland's for sure makes a good pizza, and now I can't wait to try the specialty pies next time. Give it a shot and switch from your normal to try these once a week creations....you wont regret it. Family owned and operated Italian eatery in Washington PA.  They take pride in the high-quality food they serve that is prepped from scratch and always made to order.  Located in an old building but has a ton of charm and the food is incredible.  They do take reservations, but walk-ins are welcome.  They seem to do a lot of takeout business as well as dine in.  Most menu items come in a small or large option which is perfect depending your party size!!! While there, tried the house bread which came out warm, the fried zucchini which has made my top five favorite list- perfectly breaded and fried, the stuffed hot banana peppers came out bubbling and were so delicious. For our meal we split the hot sausage hoagie, that was covered in their pasta Roland sauce, peppers and onions - all sandwiches come with a side, their garlic Parmesan fries are unreal! Also had their chicken Romano, for that side we did linguini pasta with Alfredo! The Romano was different but very good- mostly breaded with egg, not breading but really tasty. My wife & myself had the veal marsala last night and we agreed that it was the best we have ever had. It cost about 45% less than the same thing in a downtown Pittsburgh fancier restaurant and it was better !! We also had an extended family birthday celebration ( 8 people) previously and everybody said their food was excellent. I have dined there many times with my grandson or wife on other times and the food and service was the best. It 's a known fact that the quantity is generous but we care more for the QUALITY - it is here ! The ambience of the back dining room is to be appreciated - a stage for coal miners family celebrations, possibly for union meetings (unions might have been banned?) and the building also had the doctors & dentist rooms. Next door is a similar brick building which was the company store. All this on the "National Pike" ! It is owned and operated by a Mom & Pop...
