Fingerhut Bakery — Restaurant in North Judson

My boyfriend and I wanted to eat at Fingerhut Bakery while we were in North Judson because I had read about the family history behind this place. It looked like it would be a good place to go, not just for sweets and treats, but also for breakfast and lunch. We decided to go for breakfast, and got your classic breakfast combo plates and also a donut each to try something from the bakery. Everything was so good, and our server Mabel was so friendly. In the end we left with a whole box of cookies, had yet another donut, and were surprised to find that a local had paid for our breakfast without us realizing it. From the staff to the locals who were eating there that morning, everyone was so friendly that this place will always be one of our best memories of our time spent in Indiana. Can't recommend this place...

I've been coming here since I was a kid...and now I bring my kids here. I absolutely love it but there's been an incident the last few times I've been inside with my kids. An older lady with short redish brown hair has been a bit snappy. The first time I figured it was an off day for her which is very understandable...I've been in there three more times after that and she always comes off rude. I have three kids and they say it feels like she really grumpy with them. I try my best to be very understanding and I know kids are a lot to deal with...but my kids are able to pick up on their vibe and it makes them uncomfortable like they're not suppose to be there. My family makes a trip out to North Judson about 3 times a year. Every time we visit, we stop at the Fingerhut Bakery. It's one of the highlights of our trip! Their butter cookies and donuts are very good. On our last trip, I bought a peanut butter cream pie, and it was also very good. My dad and my aunt bought some stale kolachki cookies one time, but the staff at the bakery made it right! My son really enjoys their decorated sugar cookies. Since we live out of town, I've never ordered a cake from this bakery, but while I was there, I saw several customers picking up cakes or ordering cakes. If you are in North Judson, IN, I highly recommend putting this bakery on...
