Denny's — Restaurant in North Pekin

Sorry to carry on and on but it hurts to see my baby girl mistreated in such a manner. Was too much to post so I had to screen shot and add more. The gist should be in the first picture hopefully put in the order I selected.

You are working for your employer and if you maintain the policy to serve garbage to the many people who live in lower poverty than you for not giving you more than you think you deserve for carrying a few plates it could really affect the image of your employer not to mention their bottom line I believe you should be terminated. I know your employer would rather you receive no tip for an hour and give you 15 dollars while making a 40 dollar sale serving one table of 2, than to give you 15$ the same exact hour to be there making 0 dollars in sale serving no one.

Bottom line i am obviously mad that you served my innocent little baby nasty garbage food because you did not receive a large tip for bringing me 2 plates and 2 cups without any refills or offers. Especially considering I gave you everything I had left.

A parable one man gave a large sum to charity and an old woman gave a single coin. Jesus states that the woman who gave the single coin gave more than the man who gave many coins because the man had alot left over and the woman had nothing left. So Jesus said that the woman who gave everything she had really gave more.

I am not angry with Dennys owner and operator because I believe their views are more in line with mine than yours.

Some people can't afford to go to Dennys all the time and I imagine Dennys owner and operator would agree that all people who can afford to eat there anytime even occasionally should be treated with the same respect and service as they themselves should receive eating at their establishment, no matter what size tip they can afford. That the important thing is for employees to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects a positive image on the establishment that they spent so much time effort and energy to create, regardless of how large or small of a tip you might receive.

I would still return at different hours because my overall experience with Dennys has been fantastic until yesterday. Its disturbing that someone could do a hungry little baby bogus as your server did mine at her first visit to Dennys.

She loves food and recognizes places she has had a good time and good food at. It was sad that I finally had some time to take my baby girl out promising her good food to make me a liar and ruin or night.

I told her before we left the heights dennys is the only place to get decent food at this hour. Wasted time fuel ware and tare and the good time we were having before we left home.

Shame on you, my baby had nothing to do with the 5 percent previous tip of all my remaining money. She deserved to be served like a princess on their birthday would be served.

I am not opposed to returning if the owner and operator reaches out to tell me that they welcome all members of the community no matter what level of poverty they may or may not be in. I don't wish to be somewhere that I feel unwelcome regardless of how much I can tip. I almost always tip even places that don't expect it. Especially on busy days. I'm certain I started the whole tipping at subway the day it was buy one get one free I visited 3 times tipped all 3 times because it was crazy and these people didn't complain and did their job to the fullest without expecting anything extra. The type of coworker desirable when at work.

I have loved dennys until now and hope to hear from a representative that I am welcome and wanted to spend 40$ with or without a 5% or more tip, so I may return and show my baby what Dennys is...

I have been a semi-regular customer here for several years since they closed the Denny's in Peoria. Was just there last night. The place wasn't that busy but there were dirty tables and garbage and silverware on the floor in multiple places. Booth seat cushioning broken down from age. I ordered a veggie omelet and specifically requested no spinach. Came with spinach anyway. I said the heck with it and picked it out of the omelet because was hungry and didn't feel like waiting another 10 minutes for waiter to reappear and another 20 for a remake. Food arrived lukewarm. Cheese rubbery. Hash browns greasy. Had to ask twice for English muffin I ordered. It arrived virtually untoasted and soggy from butter. Waiter never showed up to ask if I wanted anything else until after I was ready to leave. Only two servers were actually working; the others were sitting at counter or shooting the bull with some locals who were not eating but merely taking up a six person space and nursing along one drink per (free refills of course) and looked like they'd been there a couple hours. I've seen this more than once where locals are sitting there not buying anything but playing cards etc. Bathroom was gas station quality. Went home and had to take antacid for rancid onion heartburn. Never again. If they would build a Denny's in Peoria again I guarantee this place would go under in a month. ZERO STARS. UPDATE 4/10/18...Noticed reply from the "owner" and would have appreciated that they at least replied, except it is simply a cut and paste stock reply. They said the exact same thing to someone else word for word several reviews below mine. Nothing's going to...

This is the first time I've ever done this... Left the movie theater and haven't been to a Denny's in years, so I used Google to find one and off we went. When we walked into the restaurant, this terrible stench of sweaty armpit and grease hit us in the face. I thought it might just be the guy in front of me. We sat at a booth, the floor was sticky and filthy on the way to our seat. The waitress didn't even greet us, she just tossed a couple menus on the table. The table felt like it was wiped down with a greasy substance, the clientele looked like they were the kind of people that don't shower often. The kitchen staff looked unhappy to be there. We looked around, sniffed the stinky air for like 30 more seconds and for the first time in my life, I actually said "I'm not eating here, let's go". So we up and left. Didn't even order drinks. If you're any kind of self respecting person, stay away from this place. I had no idea that Denny's restaurants were so filthy, last time I was in one, it was great. Could just be the Pekin location, I don't know but they've got to clean that place up or anyone worth anything isn't going to eat there. If the dining area is so filthy, not just visibly but it also smells gross, how does their kitchen look? This place is in dire need of maintenance, tlc, new management, whatever it takes, or just close it down. I felt sick just being in there. Definitely needs...
