pull in to drive thru - outside lane. I waited on one car ahead of me. Get to the intercom to order and sit there listening to the other lane getting their orders taken. Four cars order and pull up, still no acknowledgement of me. So, I abandoned that idea and pulled up to park and go in. I get in and when it was my turn, I tell the cashier what happened and she just shrugs and acts like its not her problem. I told her, you might want to tell your manager at least. Not that it was doing me any good. So, she does since I suggested she does. Then, I proceed to place my simple order...a value meal with only ketchup on the burger. I then see her putting in and saying out loud, ok, one cheeseburger meal only ketchup and another cheeseburger meal. I tried to interrupt her to tell her it wasn't right, but she was focused on putting all her imagined order info in first. So, she repeats what she put in and I said no, lets start all over. So I tell her again what I wanted, only slower and maybe more clearly. OK, so while I'm waiting, a couple who apparently had been waiting awhile for their order, spoke up and wanted a refund because they don't have that kind of time to wait. There was only 3 of us at the counter. The manager just came up and gave their refund, didn't try to resolve it or make up for it in some way, just gave them their money. The guy turns to us and says, "Good Luck". After they walk out, my cashier shakes her head and dumps their bag of what were probably cold fries or cold sandwiches and says something like, can't they see we have like 16 customers. I'm thinking, yeah, maybe in drive thru, but only like 3 at the counter. Well, in fairness, my meal came out fairly quick. So, I grab the bag and get in my car and leave. I worked on the fries first. When done, grabbed the burger and its loaded with everything, not ketchup only. I almost turned around and went back as I was pretty pissed at this point. But, decided to come home and vent here instead. Busy or not busy, doesn't justify ignorance. Managers should be managing, to make sure things are running smoothly. Employees probably need better training. While it may not have been the manager who had anything to do with it, the buck still stops at them for creating or allowing a culture of incompetence from the employees. And, if they call the amount of customers they had as "Busy" I'd hate to be there when they really are busy. Yeah, its just McDonald's, what do you expect...I know...I guess I should have known better. So, the fault is all mine for even stopping and having faith that I could possibly get through there without at least one mistake. I hadn't stopped at a McDonalds in a long time. This just refreshed my memory as to why. Rarely do my orders come out wrong at any of the other fast food places. Even Hardee's and Burger King get it right most of the time. McDonalds though, its happened so many times to me over the years. But, that is not referring to just this one, its most of them. I will probably still go on rare occasions, but not to this...
Read moreGuy behind counter was very curtious and thanked me for my service, since he saw the airforce shirt I was wearing. Can't understand why the McChicken meal isn't posted and you have to ask for it. How is one to know the hidden meals? Also, please bring back the complete muffins. Dislike just the tops. My wife and I went there this morning and I can say one thing they are consistently terrible of late. They advertise donut sticks, but didn't have any for crying out loud. Girl behind counter could care less about it. She had red streaked hair. Need to find another restaurant. Like I said. Consistently terrible service!!!
Dropped in this afternoon for a hot fudge sundae. It was very good for the price. Guy behind the counter was very courteous.
Used drive thru service this afternoon. Ordered a Big Mac meal, but wanted an ice tea for my drink. Was told through the intercom that she couldn't substitute an iced tea for my drink, but could substitute a milkshake. Thought that was odd, since a shake is way more expensive and time consuming than an iced tea. What the heck I said sure and ordered a vanilla shake. Nothing said about this costing me more period. Low and behold my bill came to $12.15. up charged me $2.79 for the shake. I didn't complain, since it's useless to do so. My meal was very good, but I'm a little dismayed at not being able to have my iced tea and then not being up front about being charged...
Read moreThis is the worst mcdonalds I know of in the area. Tonight was enough. Wouldnt answer on the 2nd drive through box...had to go around and get in the other line after watching 5 people go ahead of me...ordered a 2 cheese burger meal and a big Mac for the wife. Also got a happy meal for the daughter. Did not give us out sandwiches. I had to wait a few minutes for the woman to come to the window. She then asked for my receipt (like im lying or something). Found the lady had rung up the number 7 2 cheese burger meal as 1 cheese burger fries and a drink...I didnt even want to argue as this was a 20 minute ordeal all freakin ready. So I just let that go. After another 2 to 3 minute wait at the window the wonderful employee gave us our straws...since they didn't give us straws. On the drive home found out we had the wrong sauce for my daughter's kids meal (honey mustard? Who would even want that on chicken nuggets?). And they did not give us napkins. Every time I go here they screw my order up and make me late. Their drive through consistently takes 15 to 20 minutes. I am done with this mcdonalds. They have no idea what they are doing and everyone in their management needs fired. I will go to the pekin location or the bartonville. It will actually take less time even though they are farther away and maybe ill get...
