I went here my for lunch with 1 other person in my party. I ordered pasta and garlic knots. The woman behind the counter had HORRIBLE customer service. She rung me up and I was using tap the first transaction said $0.07 and the second transaction said $25.69. After the first transaction was processed the lady said your card was declined. I remained calm but was very upset because I know this was an untrue assumption. So when she went to charge me the second time I used the same card that she said was declined for my transaction and once again it was approved. The cashier lacked professionalism completely how she handled me the customer. I actually should’ve left when the cashier who was sitting down and eating wipe her hands with paper towels and then took my order. Regardless if you’re touching the food before you wait on a customer when you go behind the counter the first step you should do is wash your hands with soap and water. I just reviewed other reviews and saw one that talked about unsanitary conditions with gloves and this shows a clear pattern of uncleanliness. The other person in my party and said she was completely rude as if she was racist because she was treated better and is of a different race than me. She was proud how I didn’t argue with her despite her irrational behavior when all I requested to know why I had one transaction versus two. After we got our food the other person in my party stated to me that what she received was boneless wings and she clearly ordered bone-in wings. The cashier woman who sat back down inserted herself in our conversation by saying you ordered boneless wings in an aggressive confrontational tone of voice. It’s very apparent that this cashier needs another position because providing customer service is the last thing she should do. The food was horrible with the exception of the garlic knots. I ordered a pasta dish and the noodles were over cooked and swimming in sauce, the boneless chicken wings were hard as a rock. I write a lot of reviews and visit many establishments and this is by far the worse establishment I visited in 2025 thus far. I urge all people to go where you are valued, able to order great food and even better service.

Folks, I have been a customer of Red Tomato for years.. The food is always excellent! The philly cheesesteak pizza is amazing..And their 'garlic bread with cheese' is pure perfection!!! Recently (don't know WHY it took me so long!), I found out that ANY pizza they make can be made on a 'Grandma shell' - a thin square shell - think of it as a really thin sicilian shell and crust.. Just request it! And don't be afraid to ask for it to be 'crispy'!!! And so tonight I ordered a plain cheese pie on a grandma shell with some garlic.. And let me tell you this - I was BLOWN AWAY by this pizza!!! Folks, I am from Hazleton area, and am used to Pitza from Senape's and other restauraunts up there.. I don't like really 'thick crusts - too bready for me.. And there are other pizza joints in the Lehigh Valley that really tried over the years to listen to me and make a pizza like I remember from my hometown.. And I appreciate those efforts.. But Red Tomato NAILED IT!!! From the 'slightly blackened cheese on the top to the wonderful tomato sauce to the beautifully crispy crust.. It was EVERYTHING that I hoped it would be!!! I was SO amazed that I called the owner of Red Tomato to THANK HIM and his team for such excellent food over the years.. And that since I have finally discovered this amazing pizza on a 'Grandma shell', that I will be ordering one EVERY FRIDAY in the many days to come, along with a large order of their most excellent steak fries!!! Folks, if you have not tried Red Tomato, I highly encourage you to.. FIVE STARS, and I wish I could give them 10 STARS!!! Red Tomato is possibly one of the area's best kept secrets, and I highly recommend that you consider any of the many offerings on their menu!!!!

Not to be a Karen but I came here for the 5.00 Cash special of 2 plain slices and the guy behind the counter told me it was $6.00. Which is odd because I was here THE DAY BEFORE and got the same deal for the correct $5.29 adding tax. This special is also clearly marked on their door. I had brought in the exact amount I knew I would need, so once hearing it was now $6.00, I had to run out to my car to grab an extra dollar. Feeling a bit annoyed I said to the guy behind the counter that it was $5.00 yesterday, and it says $5.00 on the door. He didn’t say anything to me. He took my 6 dollars and gave me my pizza. I saw my receipt had printed so I asked for it. ! It says my total is $5.29! This is the main reason for my review. I’m not hurt over the .71 cents, but rather baffled at the lack of integrity and dishonesty at this establishment. Why tell me it’s $6.00 when your own system says $4.99!! A simple “we raised the prices to cover expenses” would have sufficed, but lying, having a customer go of their way to pay an extra cost that isn’t shown, and not saying anything at all is just unacceptable business behavior.

I want to first start off by saying I’ve never written a bad review in my life. I’m the most easy going customer a business could ask for. I picked up an order Saturday night and when the lady ran my card she was waiting for the system to print the receipt. It never printed, so she told me she needed to run my card through again. To make the transaction go smoother, I offered to pay cash instead. Later on I checked my bank app and saw that my card had been charged even though I paid cash. Of course I was given no receipt either (which I didn’t think twice about in the moment). I had called on Tuesday explaining the situation. I was told that the manager would call me the next day regarding the issue. It’s now been 4 days later and no call back. After reading a few other reviews, based on other transactions, plus my own experience, I no longer trust or respect the integrity of this establishment. The $32 I owed ended up being over $60 that I spent on a buffalo chicken calzone and garlic knots since I was charged twice. I understand accidents happen, but there is a way to go about them and make things right. Unfortunately I will no longer be giving them...
