La Cienega Mexican Grill & Seafood — Restaurant in North

Very disappointed in this establishment. It's a tragedy that people have to make a scene to get decent treatment when they are wronged. I did not make a big deal so I was not offered any kind of reparation. We got a Togo order of 2 fajita and 1 Pollo asada. The place was crowded and I had to stand in the doorway for about 10 mins since nobody was ushered further into the restaurant. After ordering and waiting, I was happy to leave when they finally handed me my bag. It was my mistake for not checking the bag then and there. When we returned home 30 mins later and saw the Pollo asada missing I called promptly about this. They were aware of the missed food and said I could come back for it. I told them I could not make the trip that night and received a quick, "oh ok, sorry bye" and hung up on. They have no intention of reimbursing the money spent or anything at all even knowing their mistake. I am not interested in the money or any food from this place at this point. We chose this spot for a nosh after voting. I was astonished by how beautifully the restaurant was appointed. The salsa bar featured a variety of fresh salsa to choose from. The restaurant is clean & well lit. There is ample parking. The food was amazing -- this area isn't known for good Mexican restaurants, but we finally have a gem. Don't go here looking to wet your whistle -- the uptight folks rallied against La Cienega being given a liquor license. The establishment is appealing the denial of their license, which I hope is successful. When you want to revitalize business offerings in a small town, the last thing you want to do is to stifle a beautiful business with great ambiance & excellent service. We will definitely pay another visit. You should too!

Stopped by today 10/18/24, food was good service not so much...started out with a young man taking my order then I guess he had better things to do. Young lady finally stopped by and asked if I'd like a refill of tea, then she was gone. After that a different young lady finally brought my order, then after finishing my meal and sitting there waiting on someone to come check on me the young lady who refilled my tea showed back up and finally brought me a to-go box and my check.
