I visited Good Measure on Wednesday, April 10, a couple days after the eclipse. I arrived at 6pm and it was moderately busy. The waitress, who was also the hostess, took over 10 minutes to acknowledge me and added my party of 6 to the waiting list. I chatted with the group ahead of me and they had a similar experience upon arrival. The staff never provided an estimated wait time and just told me that I'm "on the list." On two different occasions, the waitress incorrectly called the party that she had previously sat. The waitress also sat a similar sized party that arrived after me. After an hour wait, we finally got a table.

The waitress immediately took our order, which was three burgers, fries, and a side of mac and cheese. After taking our orders, she came to our table multiple times to refill drinks and give us silverware. She brought three sets of utensils because that was "all the clean ones available in the kitchen." After nearly an hour of waiting patiently with three hungry kids, the waitress came back to our table and told us that our order never made it into their system. She requested that we repeat it so she can re-enter it. We were done at that point!

Since we had already wasted two hours without getting any food, I asked the bartender for the manager on duty. The bartender stated that she wasn't a manager but she was "in charge." I explained the whole situation and asked what could be done to resolve these issues. She stated that she wasn't in a position to provide any remediation but would give me the contact information of the people that could help.

The next day, I emailed Liz Frazer and Scott Kerner, to share my experience. I assume they are the owners and/or restaurant managers. Neither one of them has responded to my email. Very poor service and I didn't even get to try the food. Shame on management for not responding or taking responsibility to make...

I'm sad to be writing this review. This is the closest brewery to us and we've had some good experiences there in the past. Our most recent visit a few days back was disappointing on so many levels though. Good Measure has a great atmosphere. It's just the right size, nicely lit and decorated well. First impressions are good, except for the lack of greeting when you walk in. If you are there for a sit down dinner, you may find yourself standing at the front for a bit wondering if you've been noticed. Our wait was only about 2 minutes, so not too bad this time. Our server, Samantha, started out friendly enough. She took our drink order and brought our beers in just a few minutes. The first letdown was the beer. Usually solid average, today was notably off. I ordered the Townie and it has a distinct note of sweaty socks from either stale hops or maybe a brettanomyces issue. My wife ordered the Pils, which was less affected but still off. We both ordered farmers salads, mine with chicken. What arrived, on plastic plates, was two meager portions of wilted lettuce, mine a few strips of dry chicken. My wife's didn't even have the blue cheese crumbles and neither of us had silverware. Our server was nowhere to be found so we got up and found our own silverware, the very thin, easy bending variety. When I finally tracked our server down, she questioned whether it came with cheese or not. She found a menu and confirmed I was correct and, with nary an apology, she returned with a small ramekin of cheese. That was the last we saw of her until we were ready for the check. I overheard her snap at some other customers, so I will assume she was just having a bad day. We don't go out too often, and experiences like this make us even less inclined. $54 dollars for 2 beers and 2 salads, one with a trace of chicken I wish I hadn't added. I think we'll cook at...

My buddy and I were hitting a couple of breweries on a Sunday and this was our second stop. Glad we stopped in! The staff was super friendly, the beer was great (I had a Riser cream ale that was smooth and delicious, and a Tourist double IPA that was fantastic). We'd eaten at the previous place so we just had some nachos here which were also delicious and a generous portion for the price. Next time we'll definitely eat here as the food that went all looked fantastic. We were also impressed with how our bartender Abby dealt with a grumpy customer. Every brewery and pub I've been to does a smaller pour for high alcohol beers, and this place went with that theme as well. It clearly said that the higher ABV beers same as a 12 ounce pour instead of a pint (except the 12.2% abv Radiate was max of 4 oz.). Apparently this grumpy gus was annoyed that they only served him a 12 oz tulip, he wanted a full pint (perhaps his reading skills were deficient?). Well he said he wanted it in a pint glass. She told him she would be happy to pour the 12 oz into a pint glass but it wouldn't be full. He wasn't happy with that either and argued for a while, Abby stayed calm and polite throughout the exchange. Eventually he left, leaving the full tulip glass behind. It takes all...

As we pulled up to Good Measure on Friday, the first thing you noticed was a completely packed house. With 4 kids in tow I had a pit in my stomach that the wait would be forever. Luckily we were in a transition period and Scott was and team were amazing hosts. We were able to sit down within 15 minutes and the food came even quicker. We ordered the queso, chili cheese dog, burgers, wings and all were consumed in minutes. The kids gave it a thumbs up. As for the beer, I went with a flight and they were all enjoyable. So much so that I bought a couple of 4 packs and a shirt to go. Would we go again….yes. Should you go….yes. We’ll be back!

While visiting friends in Vermont, they took us to Good Measure for dinner in a Saturday. It was exactly what I wanted. The beer is solid. I tried the Hawk Eye (imperial red ale) and the Townie (Vermont lager). Both beers can stand up to any other microbreweries, and the Townie is crisp and refreshing. The food was great after a day of hiking and exploring Vermont. Our server Abby recommended the Autumn sandwich, which was a Vermont experience of braised pork, apple, cheddar, and Maple Bourbon Coffee Glaze. All in all, it is a gem of a place to find in central Vermont and would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.

Great beer and excellent food at a lively taproom and pub. The beers were very tasty and of varying styles including a "Vermont IPA" which was clean, refreshing and delicious. I hope it becomes a trend! We had a poke bowl and steak salad, both of which were excellent. We hope to stop back soon! [Update] We stopped back here after a couple of years and it's even better. There is a nice outdoor space where you can have a beer and some nice food with your dog(s). We loved the dark lager and American farmhouse beers. The beet salad and sweet potato fries were perfect.
