3/2023 The Fours in Norwel ! Even though weâve never had good luck with bartenders there My friend wanted to get the Saint Patrickâs meal tonight.I was trying so hard to give them a good review. I took a lot of pictures as I normally do. I tried to make nice conversation with the barmaid. I was sitting alone at the bar waiting for my friend, about three seats up from a group of men that of course she was paying a lot attention to, and seemed to know them.
While waiting for my one drink, I moved the ketchup, salt and pepper over by me because when my friend came we were going to order food. She gave me my drink and then put it all back on the edge of the bar. I looked at het confused and when she went to the other end of the bar, I took the salt and Pepper back and put it someplace where she could not reach it next to me! She came back put her hands on the bar and said can I ask you a question âwhy do you keep touching MY salt, pepper, and ketchup?â You canât make this stuff up folks how do you respond to that stupid question? So I said -we will be ordering food and Iâm going to use it!!! She responded well I was wondering why you kept touching it? đ«Łđłđ€Șđ Next I see two checks in front of me . I pick one up itâs for over $70. Dollarsđ€šđĄthe other one was mine ! So a total of about $84 For one drink ! I called her over and gave it back to her! She gave it to the guys! I was angry because there was a place that used to be in Rockland called Bellas were the bar tenders often did that -we caught them many times, giving others at the bar their friends checks thinking they were too drunk to know or not paying attention! THEN a woman I didnât know, sat down to the left of me and got a drink. And I noticed she didnât have a bill in front of her âguess who put it on my tab?â Can you believe this incompetent chick ! I called her over AGAIN! She said âoh did you want separate checks ?â We said âwe donât even know each other !â And I repeated I didnât know this woman and your putting her drink on my check?! She sarcastically said âno big deal itâs easily changed.!â And what about the check before that! If I wasnât paying attention it would of been almost $100.00 dollars for my one drink ! Itâs impossible to relax there worried about what they will do next! I got an upset stomach. Donât bother! đ
1st time!!The Fours Bar and Grill Norwell-đđŒ First bad event; I have been a âstrict vegetarian since 1997.â It was dark at the bar âŠThey gave me what I thought was a mushroom sandwich-I took a bite it was greasy and turned out to be chicken. I was very upset! 2022 a waitress just told me there is bacon grease in their baked beans. I was horrified because I never wouldâve been eating them these past years- I should sue them because I always say Iâm celiac and vegetarian! They donât know their products!
Second bad experience; After a long time My friend , who owns a store up from them, and I had to flag down a manager for a drink. He was not happy! Then we had to flag down another manager about an hour later to order food! He also had an attitude! Now put out- I said dont you all like seniors here? I was having a wonderful time with my friend but there was an uncomfortable -unwelcoming feeling around us. The female bartender was busy filling guys drinks...walking past us looking forward like we didnât exist. And the male bartender went to the other end of the bar and stayed there never looking back at us! Till I said -Read google reviews tomorrow!! Then he was all over us! The girl even asked if we needed anything! Years ago we would leave a penny for a tip to show them they should do better.
Too bad my âfavorite mushroom sandwichâ is at the Fours. I told them I was celiac and vegetarian they gave me a side of beans which I think they give with every sandwich. Only problem is they had meat in it ! But itâs more than the food isnât it! Respect -courtesy -a little friendly conversation -a smile -professionalisms. Where did it all go? Thanks google we got our food faster because of you! Too little...
Read moreI just went here for the second time. The first time - was AWESOME! I went with my daughter and we both got the steak tips. They were delicious and cooked exactly how we wanted them. The waitress was nice, and everything was perfect. It was very calm and a nice environment. The restaurant is beautiful and so cool with all sports themes- the handles on the doors are baseball bats! I love it. They have a huge bar and tvs everywhere usually playing games and the news.
The second time I just went was yesterday. This time we had the whole family with us. It was VERY busy- The food came out cold, mine was awful..but I was starving so I ate it..I got Roasted Chicken Provençal. The chicken was disgusting. My boyfriend had to reorder his steak Idk how many times because he ordered it medium rare and it came out bloody and more medium raw on the inside. My sons chocolate milk was warm and It tasted like coffee. I was really disappointed in this second trip. The waiter DID take my boyfriends meal off of the bill- but it was honestly just like a ruined mood by then due to having to ask to have it recooked multiple times. Iâm not sure if so would return here. I love the set up of the restaurant but it was about $100 minus the cost of one meal. Maybe Iâll give it another chance...
Read moreOur lunch with friends was one of the best we've had for a long time (probably since pre-covid. Food is great; service with a smile; price is right; atmosphere is casual, and not too loud! We lingered for two hours, and weren't hounded by our delightfully cheerful service provider! Couldn't ask for more! We had lunch the week before at a popular year round restaurant at Marina Bay in Quincy. Food was cold. Waitress was interested and kept asking if we wanted to order drinks, appys, or dessert. When we asked for rolls to compliment our French Onion Soup and salad, she looked blankly at us, and then mumbled something about hiw they don't serve rolls at lunch. When she asked for the 6th time if she could get us anything else, I asked for rolls. She didn't ask again after that, and she got a 10% tip instead of the standard 20%. To add to the misery, the soup was cold and the salad was wilted. Maybe they should have cobbled together some croutons to make a roll we could have shared! Suffice to say, Fours was the total opposite experience. We'll return to Fours soon ..not so much to Marina Baty, even though the view...
