The atmosphere was a 10/10. It was very unique and unlike any other restaurant around. The food was poor. It took about an HOUR for our food to come… on a Wednesday night…our table of 4 were all disappointed in our meals. Shrimp fajitas came with 3 small tortillas wraps and ONLY 3 jumbo shrimp! 1 shrimp for each fajita! We did bring this to our waiters attention and we got more shrimp, but had to pay. Also chips and dip are not included, we assumed it was and weren’t told other wise when asked if we wanted any.. knowing they just opened and most customers are new there, it would’ve been nice for the waiter to give us a heads up about the $8 chips before offering them to us as if they were complimentary. They are the same chips Chilis serve, and for more $… a simple chicken quesadilla had very little flavor. Seemed like they only made it with mozzarella cheese and no seasonings on the chicken. Our drinks were very inconsistent as well as the service for refills/ checking in. We were there for 3 hours. 5-8. Me personally, my classic margarita was just fine. However, my family member who ordered a coconut margarita 2 times, had two completely different tasting margaritas, but appeared the same. One did not taste like coconut at all. And somehow, many coconut shavings were served in my classic margarita when both drinks were brought over to our table. Overall, I would say that I would like to go back and give the place another chance because we did really enjoy the environment and the vibe that the restaurant has going on and we did our best to be understanding as they are a brand new restaurant. However, we also just found it to be unacceptable at the same time to be waiting over an hour on a Wednesday for our meals without any acknowledgment of that delay from the wait staff. Our drinks were mediocre. It was unfortunate that a few margaritas we ordered were inconsistent with taste and how they were made. I personally ordered the fusion quesadilla $18… I did not eat it due to the taste. It seems like many people have had positive experiences here. If I was here with my family strictly for dinner, I would have gotten up and left due to the poor service (it was that bad.) but due to seeing Distant family that I haven’t seen in quite some time and we shared a few drinks among us, We were more patient with the wait as we were distracted in conversation and catching up. I hope to be back and give this place a second try. They definitely have the potential to be amazing. We gave them a lot of grace last night given that they just opened approximately...
Read moreI've been super excited to try this place for the past year. Went on Friday night and the place was busy but could find spots in the parking lot.
We ordered 1 specialty beverage and a soda. The drink was good.
2 apps ordered were the empanada's and spicy guacamole. The guacamole was a bit bland but ok. The chips were not good. Over cooked and had a stale crunch flavor. The empanadas were ok but we're the size of fried raviolis. Also the presentation of the food was awful. Looked like the waitress may have almost dropped the food as it was scattered across the plate. After seeing the SMALL portions of the apps we knew to order an extra entree. Worst case we could take home but also wanted to try different things on the menu.
The entrees took about 20-30 mins after our apps had been finished. That's fine considering it's a new place and they have to work things out. We ordered the Bolognese, and 2 orders of Birria Tacos. The colognes was good. Had a Mexican spice flavor and the pasta was good. This sounds bad but it almost tasted like "beefaroni". It was good though. This portion size was on the smaller side as well. The tacos were ordered with hard taco shell and were not anything special. They were OK. Lacking flavor and the shells seemed almost like pre-made and store bought. 3 small tacos per order. We had to order rice and beans on the side as they didn't come with them! The rice and beans were bland as well.
Desert was by far the best part. Nutella cheesecake was amazing. Not sure if they make it or if they buy pre made but was very good! Also ordered the churros which were hot and fresh. Very tasty!
So after all this food we were full but had nothing to take home. The portion sizes are small so expect to leave hungry if you don't order extra. Our bill after tip was over $170 and only 1 drink was ordered
This will be a great place for a drink and desert at the bar which is very nice but won't be back for a long time until they make some changes. So...
Read moreI had dinner at Volare last weekend, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and lively, perfect for a casual night out. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making great recommendations along the way.
We started with the yucca fries, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with a flavorful dipping sauce that I could have eaten by the spoonful.
For my main dish, I ordered the steak fajitas, and they were sizzling hot and packed with flavor. The meat was tender, and the grilled peppers and onions added the perfect touch. My friend went with the fish tacos, and they were a hit—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and topped with a tangy slaw that balanced everything beautifully.
Of course, we had to try their margaritas, and they did not disappoint! Just the right balance of citrus and tequila, not overly sweet—exactly how I like them.
Volare is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Great food, great drinks, and an all-around fantastic vibe....
