No Ka 'Oi Thai Food — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Oh, I was so excited to try this place after a pal highly recommended them. We had the Spicy Garlic Fries, Fried Tofu Fishcake, Pad Krapow-beef basil, and Khua Kai-chicken noodle with red sauce. Everything was so delicious and the portions were large! The Spicy Garlic Fries were crinkle cuts loaded with garlic and spices. The Fried Tofu Fishcake was the perfect texture, tender and fluffy with sweet Thai dipping sauce. The Pad Krapow had great basil flavor and the chicken in the Khua Kai was well seasoned, with chewy noodles that weren't gummy. Total for all this deliciousness was $30. The lady who took our order was super nice and the food came out piping hot. We'll be back. No Ka Oi Thai food, you're the best!

4/23/2021 - We went back today! They have different hours than what's posted on Yelp so they opened at 11:30, not 11 as Yelp states. My fiance got Friday's special, Fried Pork Belly and I got the Larb Moo (#1). We also got the Spicy Garlic Fries again. Very tasty. I've never had Larb before so I don't know how this compares to other places. It's loaded with onion, both red & green, and fish sauce, and lime flavor. Very strong tasting & delicious with the sticky rice. I had leftovers that I could eat with lettuce leaves. My fiance said the pork was had good flavor but was a bit fatty for him. That's shocking to me because he likes fatty foods. He ate it all though!

5/6/2021-Came by to try today's special, Yellow Chicken Curry, $12. I got sticky rice with it and tried a Thai Lemonade for an additional $2. The yellow curry is a thin sauce curry and has lots of carrots and potatoes in it with the chicken. Delicious & coconutty! The Thai Lemonade was refreshing with a more sweet taste than tart. What a treat!

7/28/2021 Went to the Night Market at Pearl Country Club and No Ka 'Oi was there serving up their tasty food with a smile. We got a Fried Pork Belly plate. So yum!

Everytime I go to a new wagon, I always get a plate plus some kind of side (fries, lumpia, salad, etc.) just in case their portions aren't enough. So, I got the pad Thai and spicy garlic fries. Not lying, the plate felt like it was 5 lbs! And it was really ono!! I've been to Thailand and this was authentic pad Thai. I couldn't even touch my fries, haha. And the workers were super nice :). I love Thai food and always looking for a good Thai food place. I have always driven past the truck, now I'm glad I stopped and ordered the Pad Thai. It was the best one I've ever had. Looking forward to try other food on the menu and wish they are open on more days than just...
