Ropers Lounge Restaurant and Drinks — Restaurant in Oak Hills

My wonderful boyfriend chose to surprise me by taking me here for my birthday dinner. The staff was nice enough but a little overly friendly towards my man in front of me with a few too many touches and pet names, but fine since he is cute.lol we got the tacos for an appetizer and they were good, my steak was just ok for the price. The asparagus was delicious though! Way overpriced drinks for what you get, but the worst part was all the up charges and not being upfront about them. My boyfriend got the special seasoned fries that actually caused him to have a bad break out and he was charged extra for them when that wasn’t made clear when verbally listed as a side option, almost $1 for a tiny side of ranch, and an up charge for using his card to pay…over $10 just in up charges alone after spending over $80 there for the two of us!!! It wasn’t worth it when you can truly get a comparable meal at Applebees, Chilis or Outback(where you can actually find parking too) and spend half for the same thing with more respectful staff. We will not be going back and wouldn’t suggest anyone we care about waste their money...

Outstanding Service from Chelsea at Ropers in OakHills- A Must-Visit!

I drove up from the OC to check out Ropers and enjoy dinner and drinks with my son and daughter-in-law at this exciting new establishment. From the moment we walked in, Chelsea took care of us, and she absolutely exceeded all expectations. She is the epitome of excellent service—warm, engaging, and incredibly efficient. Not only did she provide seamless service, but she also made us feel like we were her top priority, all while maintaining a friendly, upbeat attitude. It's rare to find someone so dedicated to creating a memorable dining experience. Ropers has definitely earned our return visit, and Chelsea’s outstanding service is a huge reason why. I'll start off with the positive, food was mid, portions decent size, the restaurant was clean, so was the bathroom. Now with the negative, I have zero tolerance or respect for servers / establishments who don't announce that there will be upcharges for anything, especially if it's not listed on the menu! Spent almost $100 for two people to eat and got a surprise charge for a tiny container of ranch dressing that wasn't even full, "upgrading" French Fries and a fee to use my card of almost $5??!!
