Einstein’s — Restaurant in Oakdale

Was parked up at Loves, and there is only some much Hardee's a man can stand, so I Googled the local fare and found Einstein's. Reviews mentioned the $10 Double Chees Burger. It was on point for sure! Bust and man can not live by bread alone, so 2 double shots of Knob Creek 9 year Single Barrel were on my ticket as well.

The place reminded me of Cheers. A 70ish year old woman was roasting a 50ish year old man, and the whole bar chimed in. The woman mentioned maybe needing to put a gag in her mouth, and a couple of other women chimed in that the whole conversation to a weird turn. The atmosphere was just like everyone was friends.

Service was amazing.

The food was great.

Drinks were poured well.

And I enjoyed the time away from the truck.

I have eaten here a few times in the past 18 months. I have been stopping every time I pass through.

I am not really a fan of the burgers. they have some sort of high tech burger cooker I believe. I don't think it makes very good burgers. I don't know how the machine works, but it would be similar to cooking a burger in the microwave. there is no grilled texture or flavor to the outside. it just tastes like meat. my friend ate here with me in my last visit, he also did not like how the burgers tasted. it's not that they are bad per say... they just aren't good. they are just a bit below average.

We stopped there for the first time and sat at a high top in the bar. It was very clean. The food was excellent: pulled pork, tater tots, fries. Few fry potatoes as well as they do. The serving was ample. There was room for improvement. 1) It took an incredibly long time to get food. We did consider leaving. 2) Of the 3 women I saw working behind the bar, only one seemed to understand that they’re in the hospitality industry. The other two looked/ acted unhappy to be working there. 3) There was no table service.
