Nice pool. Very frustrated with how we were treated all weekend by Donna and Scott. We were “talked to” three times with in 30 minutes of arrival. They changed our site from original reservation which was great except they had us park the wrong way which is when all the problems started. First, an employee tried telling us we couldn’t hook up our water hose because it was leaky when in fact it was the campground faucet that was stripped not our hose. Once we corrected him, we were allowed to have water for the weekend. We were talked to Friday about having a purse on the neighbors picnic table (who never showed up until late Saturday night) within 30 mins of arrival. We were literally trying to set up and had no intention on leaving the purse on the table. We went to see what was under the fire pit by lifting the fire ring. Donna immediately came over from the office to notify us that we couldn’t move the ring which again was never our attention. We felt we were being watched by the front office employees and scrutinized for everything we did. The second day of our stay, we were told we had to take our clothes line down containing all our wet clothes which was wrapped around 2 trees. Scott also made us fold our rug in half because he felt it was out to far from the front of our campers which may make the neighbors (who again arrived late Saturday night) upset because we were taking up to much room. The entire weekend was not relaxing. We suggest not staying in a site close to the office. Also, this campground has rules not found at any other campground, they literally prevent you from setting up and relaxing. Never have we been so micromanaged at a campground. Never going back. If you are retired or just staying one night and won’t be at the campground for a long period of time, this campground is...
Read moreWe scheduled a week at this KOA in spite of the fact that it’s labeled as a journey. We found that the grounds were very well-maintained and that it seemed like it was much better than other journeys we have been to. For the uninitiated, KOA has three types of camps; the Journey type of camp is close to a major roadway or highway and is generally considered as a waypoint on your journey somewhere else. This particular journey seems more like a holiday camp in that they had wonderful things for kids to do like a ball pit, pool, bicycles and carts and a jumping area. There were many more things like frisbee areas and dog parks which made it a very pleasant stay. While we did not get the space that we had requested or thought we had requested (that being a full hook up area) the staff was very accommodating in giving us two spaces so that we could open our back patio on our toy hauler allowing us to really enjoy our stay. The one complaint we do have is that our space did not come with a barbecue pit, but the camp host did lend us a barbecue grate which we were able to use with our fire pit. Sadly, we forgot to take photos, but we highly recommend a pleasant stay in this well located and very...
