I used to be a regular customer, ordered food once a month just about. Food is delicious and always fresh. One day I was craving sarpino's so I decided to order some pizza. I told the person on the phone all I had was $100, I understand that not all drivers will provide change or companies will allow their driver to carry that much change. He said he would not allow his driver to carry change, ok understandable. I told him I think I might have some other bills. I hang up the phone and looked in my wallet, to my surprise I didn't have enough cash other than the $100 bill. I called the store right back to notify them before they came out that I didn't have enough cash other than the $100. The guy rudely asked "Why don't you go get change?" "What about a credit card?", i ended up cancelling BEFORE they came out. Today I logged into my online account to order a pizza and to my surprise I was blocked from ordering pizza because of a cancelled order and it was requesting that I pay $12.84 for the previous order. I've never in my life heard of such a thing! I worked at dominos and pizza man years ago, people cancelled all the time. When they did, we had a free dinner! My order was one pepperoni large pizza that came out to $12.84. For one cancelled order now I'm blocked!!! Never again! ERIC the "manager" is the one who put the block on my account. He said he would not take my order unless I had a credit card, which I told him I had cash today. I don't know if it's the area that I live in and people get spooked or think everyone is out to get them but I'm not that kind of person. I will never order sarpinos in oakdale ever again, Rocco's here we come! I ordered from them and they gave me a discount for my troubles with sarpinos. IVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SHORT CHANGED ANY DRIVER SO PLEASE STOP WITH THE LIES AND SLANDER. IVE NEVER CAUSED PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THE DRIVERS. SAVE IT! You are only trying to justify the bad review. I always tip $2-$4, so please stop. If I lived in oakdale or North Saint Paul, different story. Since I live on the East Side of Saint Paul, people in general automatically assume I'm a criminal or they get spooked. It is not a policy I've spoke to another store owner at another Sarpinos. FYI the majority of the time I pay with credit card, so how can I short change a driver with a credit card? You just want to have an excuse not to come to the east side...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving 2 stars at all is because we used to get really good pizza from there. Then we had THREE orders in a row that were incorrect. On the third I had also put a delivery when I ordered online for them to not ring the doorbell because I had a sleeping baby. Well, the doorbell rang which made the dog bark and then no more sleeping baby. After I realized that order was wrong I called and complained. I was basically told "Well, what do you want us to do, remake it?" The first delivery took over an hour which was annoying since we live literally 5 minutes away but we said go ahead and remake it. I thought we've had 3 wrong orders in a row, they should do SOMETHING about it. Then a manager called me back a little while later and basically defended them on everything. He said they don't always see the specifics when you order a pizza with different toppings or sauces. He also said the delivery drivers don't always have time to look at delivery notes. I'm sorry....is that supposed to make it better? You don't always look at order notes or delivery notes? That to me is poor business. Last night we decided to give them one last shot and while the order was actually correct both of the pizzas we ordered were EXTREMELY doughy, literally inedible. My husband called and complained and again they offered to remake them. They delivery driver that brought them told us when he got here that he needed the old pizzas back. We had already thrown out everything we had on our plates so we gave them what was still in the boxes and sent him on his way. The new pizzas were cooked at least but the one pizza was wrong,...
Read moreMy family has been going to this location for the last three years. Most times the orders are correct. Only twice, when our order was incorrect. The first time this happened, the person at the restaurant gladly remade the food correctly with no questions and was really polite and apologetic. The second time our order was wrong, I spoke to the manager, Espranza, who asked 1) Would we like her to remake the food? 2) Credit our account for the food and it will be available the next time we order, just call in? We chose the latter.
We reached out to the store to confirm the credit was available as promised by the manager before proceeding with our order just to find out she only credited $5.00 on the account, not the original amount we paid for which was about $20 (including tip). Instead of making this right, she would argue the amount of the credit and then said "We are not getting anywhere. And if you want to talk to the owner, Abrahn, he will be in the next day at 10 a.m."
The point, as a business owner, do what you say, especially when you know the customer did no wrong. Instead, she would rather lose a loyal customer because she refuse to be accountable for...
