Terrace Cafe — Restaurant in Oakdale

I ordered the chicken and sausage jambalaya and it had some kind of spice that I didn't like at all, so I asked the waitress if I could get something else, so I got the chicken fried steak and asked for steak potatoes instead of mashed potatoes with the vegetables and again the steak potatoes had that same spice taste and vegetables have no taste and the chicken fried steak was the only item that was ok I ate 4 small bites cause I still had the ugly taste in my mouth. I get to the counter I have this disappointed face so one of the ladies there says, what is wrong, so I proceed to let them know everything that happened and they both look at me like so what else, so I said I'll still pay for the plate, then they said ok sorry for inconvenience. I had dinner last night at the Terrace cafe, we were seated, order taken. Order the shrimp poboy, wife the shrimp salad. The shrimp poboy was pathetic. It arrived with a few micro shrimp the size of a pencil eraser. I was shocked to see how the food had gone down hill since the last visit. The waitress brought tea with no ice. The shrimp salad had several micro shrimp on it. I had the same poboy a few months ago and it was great. It had real shrimp on it and an many good size shrimp . I complain to manager and was told that they changed the menu. I said, yes yall sure did. The food has gone downhill and the prices has gone uphill. The bill was over 40 dollar. This is one of the better places for good food at Coushatta. For some reason, the staff doesn't have their shit together when I come here.

The food is delicious here. I love their gumbo. Tried the burger this time and it was good too.

I wish the staff would just be better at what they do It's not that hard. Just come by and check on your tables every now and then. Maybe learn the menu a little bit. Make sure your guest have what they need before you takeoff and disappear...
