I used to love this place about 3 or 4 years ago and I would still love this place if it wasn't for the recent experience. I sat down for a little breakfast this morning and ordered my favorite, scrambled eggs with home fries, bacon and toast and proceeded to eat my breakfast when I noticed the eggs were just a little bit runny and under cooked. So I didn't fuss about it and just started eating around the runny parts when I decided to use a piece of toast to scoop up some of the home fries too eat with and after I took a bite from the toast with what I thought was a few potatoes I started to chew and felt a rubbery substance in my mouth and I pulled it out of my mouth to discover it was a piece of fat from a steak!! As you can imagine, this totally disgusted me and I almost threw everything up all over the table in front of me. I didn't even order anything close to a steak with this meal so you can see why this was a surprise to me and how it immediately turned my stomach. The waitress was very nice about it and actually didn't charge me for anything and offered to replace the meal but at this point I was already to far gone to even eat anything else. I at least told her to charge me for the coffee cause I did drink 2 cups of that. In the end I decided I will not visit this place anymore. My advice to you consumers is to check your food really good before you put it in your mouth and have happen to you what happened to me. Very very disappointed about this and my stomach is still turning. Nothing against the waitress who was very nice to me about it. It's the cooks in the back that need to get it together. This shows and tells me that they must not pay attention to detail and also are very sloppy with there clean up. Not to mention that they probably are not very sanitary back there and use the same cooking utensils to cook different types of food without switching utensils or cleaning them up. How else would a piece of steak fat get into my breakfast food? If I owned that place, I would immediately get rid of the main cook who cooked this meal cause he or she is probably a scum bag that doesn't wash up. I would be surprised if this was the only time this happened. Good luck to whoever reads this...
Read more2+ hour wait for delivery 12/18/2020 Delivery order placed online at 4:40pm. System showed estimated delivery between 5:15 and 5:25. At 5:40 my wife called after asking her a bunch of questions that sounded like they had missed the order the staff told my wife the food was on its way and would be to us "soon" 6pm my wife contacted the "support" for the online ordering,from the diners website (Slice) they contacted the diner and were told the food was on its way.
625pm I contacted the diner after speaking to one employee I was placed on hold for her to see "if our food was still there" Another employee then answered I explained for the 3rd time that we had ordered at 4:40 pm nearly 2 full hours ago and was told the food was definitely on its way and would be there "soon"
6:45pm food arrives. I attempted to ask the driver when he left the restaurant with the food to see if it had been in his car since 540pm when they had told us that the food had left. (This means the food was BEST case scenario at least 1 hour old IF the driver grabbed it immediately after it was done --- not likely given that from order to "departure" was an hour) The driver would not answer stating only that each time he leaves he has 5 or 6 orders. We tried to explain we weren't upset with him and were trying to see if his timeline was the same 1hour cold food in his car.
I called the restaurant to discuss a refund. The first person who answered didn't know how to process a refund in the computer. I waited on hold for 5 minutes --- the next person answered the phone I briefly explained that I was calling to discuss a refund for cold food that took 2+ hours. I was told that she would get the manager. I waited for 10 minutes on hold no manager ever spoke with me.
While waiting my wife contacted slice support again asking how to request a refund. Slice called the restaurant, the restaurant agreed to cancel order.
2.5 hours after placing order I'm still hungry because the food was so soggy and cold it was inedible.
If this were the first time they did this to us we would have not been as upset.

Read moreSADLY DISAPPOINTED , Happen to see The DINER sign as we were going through Oakdale ..decided to stop on our way back through. We try to give the benefit of the doubt in most cases...a hostess told us to take a seat at a empty table and someone would be by to clean it...when we went to sit...the waitress told us not to...to just sit at the counter. When they finally cleaned the big stuff off, the waitess told us we could sit and she would wipe the table off. When she came back with the rag ...she wiped back and forth ..putting the food bits all over my husband and myself....nearly walked out right then. Had to then ask for menus from one young girl ( that seemed to be doing more work than the others ) Waitress, couldnt keep up, never asked me for a refill of coffee or water....yet, walked by many times with the coffee pot. I had even put my coffee cup near the end of the table so they could see it and ask. She did seem interested in the table of six behind us that strangely got served before us even though they arrived ten minutes after us ! Busboy walked by our table...never asked to take the dirty dishes that we had neatly stacked at the end of our table. We watched as he tried cleaning empty tables...2 or 3 items at a time. We waited a little while... Never received bill. Oh yeh..food was eh ! Really wanted to find a new place to go....Dont think we...
