Well, it frustrates me to report all this... but it frustrates me more that this is how it is, so I may as well tell others: The problems begin with the slowness of the drive thru, which tends to take several minutes per car... so even 2 or 3 cars queued up before the ordering box means probably at least a 15-20 minute time. And then the sign at the ordering box is missing some lights, so depending on general conditions, it can be hard to read the details of portions of the sign. Which matters a bit extra because this particular store doesn't accept coupons from the website (or anywhere else, as far as I can tell); And also matters extra because they seem incapable of even understanding any question that relates to coupons (or, perhaps, any question at all?!?) through the squawk box... and after a bunch of tries, they send me to the window to order there - where of course there is no menu sign, lighted or otherwise. And then you order a thing (a 10-piece legs and thighs order, in my case, to get multiple meals from) that you're sure of the main parts of (legs and thighs, right?), and just unsure of how many sides come with it... and they tell you it's two, so you say which two... and you get those two, but with chicken that includes some of the legs and thighs you ordered, some breast pieces, and a bunch of chicken strips. What?!?
Is that what it said on the part of the sign I couldn't read? Maybe the chicken strips were part of it that way, but I see no reason why a 10-piece legs and thighs special should contain (a) fewer than 10 legs and thighs (combined), and (b) two or three breast pieces... even if we grant that somehow it was expected (as a family-oriented deal or whatever) to get (c) a bunch (6? 8? More? I didn't count them, but it seemed like a lot) chicken strips.
The chicken itself was... in the ok (the legs in particular seemed not so fresh... a bit dried out from too long under a heat lamp?!?) to good (at least one of the actual thighs I got seemed pretty fresh)... but the fact that they don't accept the coupons -- while I guess their right to do; I suppose they're not a "participating" franchise location -- is frustrating, and then not getting what one ordered, and having a chunk of it not be fresh... even after waiting a long time... well, let's just say I'm frustrated with this particular Church's location.
I may or may not go back. If I do, and I have a substantively better experience, I'll come update this. But if you're deciding between two Church's locations that are otherwise equally convenient for you? I can't...
Read moreI have came to this location several times for my 30min lunch break because they are reasonably priced. Since coming to this location I have been very disappointed with the long wait times as well as the service. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was TODAY when I went through the drive thru line which was suprisingly open today, although, usually blocked by the trash. When I pulled up to order it took about 2 min before anyone asked for my order. When someone finally came on the speaker to take my order they asked if I would give them a few moments, (keep in mind there are 2 card ahead of me and one at the window waiting on their order. I waited bout 6 min before I was able to place my order: 1 regular mash/gravy, 1 butter biscuit and 1 corn on the cobb. Employee says pull to window but did not read back my order or give me the total amount due. (I know this is long, but bare with me), When I finally got to the window (20min) in I wanted to pay via Apple Pay.....drive- thru guy asked to see my phone because the don't have a cord long enough to pay. I explained that I have face recognition and that it will not work. I had to park my vehicle and get out to pay, SMH! The employee still did not know how to properly work apple pay to where I had to give instructions so my payment would go through all the while a female employee which I assume is the Manager was mumbling about how they don't like apple pay and going to tell people they can't use it although it says they accept it. When I finally got my order, IT WAS WRONG!! I had had enough being that I was hungry and missed my entire lunch break, I went back inside to demand my money back and told them to F off and I will be writing a review. 2nd time they have done...
Read moreI do not recommend coming here. I ordered a very simple order , no one else was ordering and they shut down the drive thru. After ordering I waited for my order , another gentleman came in and was quickly served. He even thought it was for me but it wasn’t. I was forced to wait 15 minutes for stuff that was already cooked to be placed in a box. The cashier even completely squished my muffin. I am a nice person who treats everyone the same. But after seeing how this cashier treated the people who had the same color still as hers and forcing me to wait because we aren’t the same color. Stuff like this makes me not want to be nice to everyone and treat people equal. I purchased the food for a homeless person who asked for food and even though he wasn’t my skin color I still did it.
