Oakland House of Pizza — Restaurant in Oakland

Oakland house of pizza was very good when I tried it a few years ago, but when I went back, I've never had an experience so terrible. I started by placing my order through their website, and it told me it was going to be a 25 - to 35-minute wait. I placed the order at 5:32, so I arrived at about 6:04 to grab my order. When I got to the counter, the person who was assisting me was very rude and on her phone. She then told me that they hadn't even started my order yet, and it was going to be about 45 minutes before they would have it ready. I was in a rush, so I politely asked for a refund, and she told me, "Well, sir, you have arrived before the window of when we told you it was going to be done, so no". I became upset and said, "Are you going to have it ready in three minutes?" She said nope and began to walk away. Then another woman came up and didn't say a word to me and issued a refund back to me card. She then handed me a receipt and told me it would be back on my card in about 3 days. Owner is rude. Prices have gone up again. Cause of minimum wage, supplier costs and what not. Ok. Well I'll not be buying from you any more and I spend close to or more the 100$ a month with you. My wage has not gone up. Besides owners just do not get if you keep your prices reasonable I'll spend more in the long run. Also too if you look at countries where minimum wages are 25$ hr their food is cents more then ours. When I say I'd spend more money if your prices don't keep going up don't tell me they have not gone up in two years when I have had to get 4 new meanies in 2 years cause of price increases. There is no reason for a fast food place ta charge 4.99 for a small slice of cheesecake. Nor 10.95 for 5 pieces frozen chicken, fries, 3 onion rings and a tiny cup of coleslaw. None. Getting testy and uppity with a regular spending client of 5 years...

Four of us were in the area and went here purely based on 2 things: One, they sell pizza. Two, it had a higher rating than the other place with pizza. What we got was way more than just pizza. I always forget to get names but I wish I had. As soon as we entered this establishment we were greeted with a warm "hello", followed by a polite, "let me know if you have any questions". After looking over the menu we all order. A reasonable time later we get our pizzas. Our delicious, fresh, well proportioned ingredient and tasty pizzas. I love that the lady who took our orders checked on us during our meal even though this is NOT a full service restaurant. To have never stepped foot in this business before and be treated like I was a regular was awesome! I will be happy to visit again and seriously appreciate their great...
