Oh my goodness! Here we are driving through Kansas, and we found America in some of her best forms. We wanted some coffee and a little something to chew on, not Starbucks. Found the Sunshine bakery on the googleys. Okay, it is just a little old gas station that makes donuts and coffee, on the surface. Creative and inventive donuts in a fresh take on all the same flavors and mixes, but how original to come up with your own take, form and flavors. Coffee and expresso was great, but the staff made the entire stop worth it: friendly and welcoming, kind and considerate, happy and pleased to just chat. Read moreA decent little spot. We were originally confused because "Sunshine Bakery" is in the Daylight Doughnuts building. You just can't see that until you are standing right before the front door where they have a small door sticker with the words. No idea why Google lists them separately. The people were friendly. The food and coffee were good. Nothing amazing, but nice. $4 breakfast sandwich seemed a touch high, but they were fresh and warm. Very busy. Read moreThis bakery is a 1000/10! We stopped here on our drive from Dallas, TX to Washington State. The snicker doodle latte has me in a chokehold. We all loved their OG sausage rolls! They were so good, my husband and son each gave me half of theirs because it was so yummy haha. Donut holes melt in your mouth. Breakfast croissant sandwiches were soo good.
