It's amazing that so many customers are giving this place a 5 start rating, something is not right. Now, for my review, but before I say anything about what went on with this store. There is no way that 5 star pizza can compare to real Italian pizza, especially from any where in NY State, because even a so, so pizza in NY is way better they 5 star, or pizza from PA, Conn, NJ, Ca, even Michigan. The only reason we are customers is because them carry Gluten Free Dough. Now, we have ordered the two 12" pizza pies with mushrooms, and paid according to their promo I received in the mail, but... no one there at 5 star ever said that one needs a coupon when we call in for an order. I placed an order today, and I was charged $21.91, when in the past we were charged $17.10 - The gimmick is 7.99 for the pie, but you must buy 2. Now, what's even more a slap in the face, is that the manager and staff there have never treated me in a professional manner, never a thank you, even after leaving a tip, which I stop adding to the bill. Anyway, the manager is trying to tell me that I was in the wrong place and that they don't carry such a deal, yet when I drove back and brought the receipt for the last order for 17.10, he changes his story that the deal requires a discount coupon... So... which is it, I'm in the wrong place or I need a coupon, and why isn't the person taking the order reminding me that I need a coupon in order to receive the discount? Why, did it take me driving back with the mail ad and my receipts to prove that I paid 17.00 for that 5 times I have placed and picked up my order. What bother's me the most is that I'm always treated unprofessional and not even a thank you for your order, just to have a good night in a sarcastic manner. The manager didn't even care that he was losing a customer, and we all know that many a business has gone under when customers service is not good or when the store will not remedy a simple problem, that was cause with in their store's management practices. I hope the corporate people at 5 stars are reading these reviews, because I will not be purchasing any pizza from any 5 start pizza. Lastly, $21.91 is way too expensive for to 12" pizza pies which I measured and they are always short up to 2 inches. We'll be making our own for on at more than half the price, and that's with gluten free dough I can pick up at the gluten free bakery not far from...
Read moreI like pizza. I eat a lot of pizza. There are different types of pizza places. There's, what I like to call it, fast food pizza . This would be hungry howies, domino's, and papa John's. Then there's the NY style pizza places. I usually eat at these places but they are a little pricey so it's not practical to do a lot. Lastly, there's the high-end gourmet pizza places that are usually amazingly delicious ,but again, pricey. In fact they're really pricey. This is why I eat 5 star pizza more so than any other. They are reasonably priced and definitely a slice above the other fast food pizza places. I feel like I'm getting a good deal every time I order from them. They have regular deals that they send out with every order. In the form of paper coupons. Their pizzas are bigger and better tasting than the others. I use the NE Ocala store and never have any problems. My order is always perfect and exactly as I ordered. Plus the staff and the drivers are always pleasant. If you're in their computer system, they will text you fantastic digital deals . Tonight I ordered a 24inch pizza and a 2 liter. The bill was over $50 , but they had sent me a 50% off coupon. So I ended up getting a huge pizza for $25. It was delicious and when I picked it up, they gave me a stack of paper plates and napkins. I feel like I'm getting the best value and the quality is spot on. They definitely live up to their name. Also, I'd like to say that the Ocala NE location is the most consistent store around. The pizza and other food items are always made right. These people take pride...
Read moreOrdered approx a month ago and had our order received incorrect. Garlic rolls had no garlic butter or sauce with it. We called back and the young man told my husband that a 10$ credit would be added to the account for the Inconvienve because of the time frame it would have taken to receive a correct order. Called to order our family our meal tonight and conveniently, the credit was approx 4$ only. The "manager" said she called the young man to verify and OF CORSE he said he only put approx. 4$ on credit. Over 6$, I canceled a 50$ order and will In no way, shape, or form, continue business with a business that does not value and honor the folks that provide their paycheck. Never one time did the "manager", I believe was Kaitlynn, offer to accommodate or resolve an issue that an employee had made. Food issues can be resolved, service is what...
