Follow me here I swear this rant has a point. I'm a foodie so if you hate eating skip me. The tiramisu was awesome. It's my favorite dessert and I tend to be a bit picky.
I've had the worst few months. It's like some evil energy or force came down on me and ruined all my gears perfectly oiled system. Just to show you how down in the dumps, how far down rock bottom I am check this out. On my last semester of my AA and I got. 78.55% which for the career I want is a failing grade and I need to go through a remediation program if I ever want to see a return on the thousands of dollars I put into this dream. Plus, I won't get to start working in my dream field until after 2023 is over. I quit my favorite job hoping I could bring my grade up above an 80%. Left standing with the disappointment of failure as I watch my cohort go forth and I get to feel like a failure.
Then I saw Little Joey's. I have wanted to stop into Little Joey's for almost 3 years but I'm always too busy.
Therefore, while I sat at rock bottom contemplating what I'll do next. I decided to kick my kale salad and boiled seaweed soup to the curve.
I ordered tiramisu and a cup of pasta figoli.
The pasta figoli was good.
I have loved tiramisu my whole life.
However, this place made me feel like it had that mom and pops flavor. Maybe it was my sadness. Maybe it's actually home made.
All I know is that I felt a little less scared of this big thing called life and I felt like the tiramisu was just right.
The atmosphere was nice too. Homey and sweet.
Made me think someone is making their dreams come true.
Anyway, I like this place. If you have patience for busy servers dealing with people and remember that they only have two hands then you will love this place. If you're entitled and think the world revolves around you and that people can grow 5 arms and split in half at rush hour then you won't be happy anywhere that gets busy and that's not these servers...
Read moreBe aware with this restaurant with meal charges. We went to this restaurant for lunch with friends today, the Food was ok but when the bill cames out, not even mention they over charged my son’s lunch as dinner price( all we got is lunch menus). They charged us $15 more on top of that, Of course My husband paid without look at the price until I saw the bill (over $80) while we were waiting for the rain slow down little bit before we could leave, then I found out the waitress over charged us $15 more plus charged My 12year old son’s lunch for $16.99 without let him knows the price. The cashier ended up with “ oh~she made mistakes,” the waitress didn’t even say sorry and when I questioned my son’s lunch charge and she pointed to me on the dinner menu price even my son never saw the dinner menu. She charged my son’s lunch meal with dinner price $16.99. He was sit next to his friend and they ordered same lunch from lunch menu, both of them got same exactly size meal and my son had a small cup of soup(the lunch menu shows come with soup or salad, my son didn’t even want touch the soup at all) his friend meal was charged $4.99.(they left few minutes before us) Not sure if the waitress is part of the family owned this restaurant, but shamed of her to do business like this way, not just trick over charged a 12 year old kid lunch meal for dinner price, on top of that , she tried to over charge us $15 more as total price for us to pay. The restaurant wasn’t busy and only 2-3 table people there, don’t tell me that was just simply mistake??? We were excited and trying to explore Ocala but very disappointed with this restaurant. THAT’S NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO MAKE MONEY!!! We came to Ocala for my kids swim meet and we knew we will come back to Ocala more often for my kids sports events in the future but we Will never go back there again and let people know that better check your bill before you pay it at...
Read moreSo we went to little Joe's pizza an Italian restaurant on 200 , I brought my 3 children that are five an under we walking the restaurant feeling unwelcomed sat down with are children an proceeded to get them situated our children can be loud but that's just children again they are five and under so their babies needless to say we were there 40 minutes or less children were a little loud but we were tending to the situation an Manager/waitress comes to our table and proceeds to say can you get your children under control . Are children are 5 an we was doing are best to to keep them under control an if she notice that she would have never needed to come to the table I was feeling a little racism there as well since we are dark complected people and we were stared out since we entered the doorway I told my wife to take the children to the car we will not be eating here so she did, are food came to the table I told the waitress / manager I would not be eating what we order an i wll pay for what I already have ordered she then says to learn how to keep your children under control loudly in front of everybody that was eating. Anyways we will never be going to Little Joe's pizza & Italian restaurant again a professionalism is a must at all times when you're employed through a company and that was not set at Little Joey's Pizza and Italian restaurant there is no understanding even if our children autistic or not I will be giving them one star review for not handling it professionally when it could have been handled way differently. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH OTHERS FOR IT IS AN AWARENESS FOR OTHERS THAT HAVE SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES WITH FAMILY MEMBERS...
