Chipolte — Restaurant in Ocala

If I could give zero stars, I would. It had been years since I walked into a Chipotle. This past Saturday I walked into this one and had one of the worst dining experiences I can remember.

First, the drive-through turned out to be “pick-up only” for online orders which is inconvenient, especially considering many people in the area are seniors who may not use apps. My 75-year-old mother and I went inside to order, but the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude.

The young woman at the counter was dismissive and condescending. When we asked questions to better understand the menu options, she acted as if we were bothering her, even mocking us by changing her tone and accent as if we didn’t understand English which is was completely unnecessary, disrespectful and we also speak perfect English . She repeatedly asked, “Are you ready?” in a rushed, impatient way instead of helping us. As we moved down the line, the other staff had the same cold, joyless attitude, clearly unhappy to be there.

When we finally got home with our food, it was another disappointment. My son’s tacos were crumbled into foil and looked like they had just been thrown together with no care. They were such a mess we had to throw them away. The rest of the food was just as poorly prepared, lacking the quality and presentation you would expect from a place like Chipotle.

Overall, this experience was beyond disappointing from the rude service to the inedible food. We will not be returning, and I hope management takes this...

Walked in around 8:15pm. They were already cleaning up for the night. They close at 11... Carne Asada was very dry, tough and lots of rubbery pieces I had to spit out. Husband's burrito had very little chicken. All the toppings were on the back table to where you couldn't see them...they basically had to rattle off the toppings to me so I could tell then what I want. They were out of several items - black beans and tomato salsa to name two - even though it was dinner time. . The woman that waited on me did change gloves and took precautions to avoid gluten when I told her I have celiac disease. But I felt rushed and the atmosphere bhind the counter seemed chaotic.
