I recently stopped by Mochas on a whim with a friend, my five kiddos, and my nephew. We had just spent a hot, exhausting day at the springs and wanted to surprise the kids with ice cream. They were tired, sweaty, and had no idea what was coming.
Debbie and the young lady working with her were incredibly kind and so sweet. They were patient as a bunch of little people (and two worn-out adults) asked for ice cream samples. I decided to treat the kids to their own scoops, but quietly passed on getting one for myselfāeven though I love ice creamābecause we had already spent quite a bit that day.
But Debbie had noticed the flavor I likedā¦and surprised me with a scoop of my own. I literally cried! It was such a simple yet thoughtful act of kindness.
She even offered to take our picture in their cozy little aesthetic spot. When my phone died, she offered to charge it for me while we ateāand then took pictures on her own phone just so she could send them to me.
And it didnāt stop there. We left (three separate times š)ā¦kids needing to go back in to use the bathroom. Then, when one of them spilled a drink in the car, she handed me a full roll of paper towels and said, āEveryone should have one of these in the car.ā
š„¹š„¹š„¹ It was honestly such a hit with all the kids and one of the most memorable moments of our whole trip. Everyone absolutely loved it. Truly an angel of a woman. I would šÆ recommend checking out their placeāyouāll definitely...

This little coffee shop and bakery is truly a gem, the kind of spot you dream about stumbling across. Their pastries are always fresh, their breakfast sandwiches hit the spot every time, and the coffee is consistently excellent. It's clear the owners and most of the team put real heart into what they do. The atmosphere is warm, local, and welcoming, it feels like an oasis in a world that moves too fast.
I used to come here multiple times a week and considered it a favorite stop in my routine. Most of the staff are friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. However, Iāve had a recurring issue with one barista, Erica, thatās made me visit less often. She often seems impatient or frustrated when I place an order, and the communication feels strained. I wouldnāt normally bring this up, but the way she handles interactions makes me feel unwelcome, and thatās disheartening, especially when I love everything else about this place.
I genuinely hope the shop provides some coaching or support in that area, because Iād love to become a regular again. One person shouldn't define the whole experience, and itās clear that this shop is built on love, community, and quality. Just a little more consistency in customer care would make it absolutely perfect.
I just want to repeat how great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have stopped here several times and dined in, used the drive through, or did carryout. Several staff members are new and are in the process of being trained, but make no mistake that they are incredibly friendly and polite. Just remember to exercise patience with them as they learn. One of the staff members even gave us her phone number to contact them for preorders, and I even texted the owner to reserve some baklava for my mom. We have seen every iteration of this establishment from when it was Roger's BBQ to today when it became Mocha's and are glad to see the local community endorsing it wholeheartedly.
Yes, they charge more than Dunkin or the grocery store, but these items are also handmade with a lot of time and love. I think paying more to support someone's dreams of owning a small, local business outweighs anything you could ever get from a chain. They have created a comfortable and cozy sitting area for you to enjoy their goods and have conversation without excessive lighting or music being pumped out at too high a volume.
I recommend you follow their Facebook page for updates on their daily specials (which are hilarious but also informative). Everything we have tried is delicious and we look forward to seeing whatever other creations...
