The Juniper General Store — Restaurant in Ocala

Great they serve alcohol and say they have charcuterie board and sandwiches. However, the sandwiches are grab and go style like what you pick up at a gas station. The charcuterie board is prepackaged over processed shelf-stable meat loaded with sodium, much like a slim jim.The cheese is tiny prepackaged selfstable. Each of these are in small single sever size. No nut, olives or fruit. The, I believe tuna salad sandwich was more of a soggy mistery meat. Given the location one would think what they serve would be a little more classy. It's a shame because the location and interior design says it could bring so much more. My guess is the people running this Juniper Store have no idea what they are doing. Oh, they have a cute section of art and gifts that consume nearly half they square footage. We asked a few question about the wine selection and the lady had no clue how to even describe the wine selection. Again, seems the staff...

Ocala's new hot spot!

This place has incredible atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, and an amazing drink selection.

Local craft beer on tap, a nice wine list, coffee bar, and for my non-alcoholic friends a chilled selection of sparkling water and sodas.

A friend invited me here to do some work and was even more blown away than the photos I've seen.

It has a sofa section for lounging, a long bar, and a second bar with plenty of space for working.

They let you get food delivered in (which we did) and they have a great selection of crackers, meats, and cheeses to make a charcuterie board.

Staff and owner are super chill and welcoming.

Would not recommend! I used to frequent this place, months ago. Travel has taken me away, but I recently went in. ALL the character of this establishment is gone. It appears that there has been some sort of change as the beautiful pastels are missing from the wall. They were always such a nice touch to the store.
