Kiss of Mist Espresso — Restaurant in Ocean Park

Visiting area. Attempted to stop to purchase/order 15 espresso drinks. One car was ahead of me. I entered this business from the ONLY existing street heading north. I don't know what direction other car came from, but after sitting in car for about 15 secs, some car pulls up, blares their horn at me. Apparently they called in their order & expected me to move so they could pick it up. I assume these people were locals which is fine. The locals called business owner/emply. When i pulled up to place my orders, MY orders were not taken; told I cut-off customer that arrived AFTER me. I DID NOT cut-off anyone. Yet, that's what I was accused of by business owner/emply & was also told to move up so she could give call-in customer their order first. Needless to say, I did pull-up... left the premises. This place is great, went up there for the 4th of July for a wedding (we were social distancing, don’t worry) and was in dire need of some coffee, as the air bnb we were staying at didn’t have a coffee maker. I was a pleasantly surprised to not only get one of the best coffees I have ever had from a coffee stand, but also be greeted by very friendly people in the stand. I also appreciated their signs they had at the window, that said their hours were between something like “7:01ish - 9:31ish” (don’t remember the actual hours) and how they will be open regardless of anything, even a zombie apocalypse. I just appreciated the humor in the morning. Give this place 10/10, if your ever in the town for the beach or something, get a drink or a muffin from this place, because it’s a great way to start...

We had visited a different coffee shop the day before, and when we went by they were slammed. We saw a short, fast-moving line here and decided to give it a try.

The baristas were very friendly, and helped me find something unique to try that I would like that I also couldn’t make at the coffee shop I work at. She asked questions about my preferences to perfect the drink for me. The drinks were PHENOMENAL! Much better than the place we had previously visited. The coffee was flavorful, and my energy drink was perfectly blended and like nothing I’d had before.

When we are in the area in the future, this will be our go-to....
