The best restaurant on the peninsula. The food is great and the specials even better. The menu is small but everything is done just right. The atmosphere is good and is setup in an old school way. The building might have been an old diner and the executive chef cooks right behind the counter. The restaurant is small and the parking is ample for the size. It is also right down the access road to the beach. I haven't tried to order takeout because they can always squeeze me in. It's a small operation and I wish they had longer hours or were open every day but given where they are located,it's truly a gen in the rough. I recommend going with their specials even if they aren't your thing. Rockfish has never been my favorite but he prepares it wonderfully and it's always fresh considering it's probably the most common fish coming in at the piers. Staff has always been on point and have been nice, attentive and accommodating. Kids are welcome, last night the chef came by our table to check in with my 5year old to ensure she liked her spogetti. She did but requested he have grilled cheese on the menu. She informed him she will come back provided they don't run out of clams next time. He promised to try and said the 4th of July tourist run has...

Came down for a week and ate there three times. That should say it all but I can't recommend this place enough. It is a open kitchen so if your thinking quiet romantic dinner this ain't it. The kitchen is small a a bit noisy but that part of why we go there. It's to the point where I don't even look at the menu. Chef Paul knows what I like and always picks something wonderful out. My wife usually looks at the menu and decides what she wants until Matthew, the main waiter, tells us the specials. Every time he says Halibut she changes her mind and is always happy. Prices are very fair and portions are generous considering they do all there sauces, pastas ,deserts etc. in house. We plan on going again in September. Time to make reservations. Cheers,

10/02/23 Update. They have just opened Wogger's Waffle House next door. A much needed and incredible addition to Ocean Parks food options. Waffles are old school, make the batter the day before so it can rise. Walk up only but with outside seating weather permitting. Many options and not a miss on the menu. Buy a couple of extra plain waffles to reheat the next morning. Kathy has really hit it out of the park on this one. And the soups are scratch made and...

Small restaurant with a wonderfully exclusive feel. The homey decorations and the chef cooking right in the same room really accentuate the feel of being in a friend's home. The bruschetta appetizers were great, as were the olives (yes, we did order three). We split a salad. I didn't like that they applied the cracked pepper in the back and not tableside as I just enjoyed more pepper on my salad. They also offered no salt on the table. I prefer my salad tomatoes to have a little salt. The lasagna was tasty but a little runny. It was served out of the oven hot. The rigatoni dish was served with spaghetti as they has run out of rigatoni. Nevertheless, it was delicious. It was topped with raw minced garlic. It was very pungent. I would have preferred it to be topped with a more sweet, roasted garlic flavor. I won't be able to talk to anyone for a week. We split a chocolate pudding type dessert. It was a nice end to dinner.

The service was...

This was such a special experience in every way. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food itself, everything is 100% one-of-a-kind. We came from the Seattle area for the weekend to celebrate my birthday, and wanted to find a more upscale/unique place to celebrate. After a little research it was obvious that Mycovio's perfectly suited what we were after. We made reservations a couple days in advance. Our server was personable and attentive but never overbearing. The chef/owner stopped by our table for a lovely little chat. We even were given free dessert to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the breakfast spot next door (and we can't wait to visit both here and next door when we come back next month!) My husband got the cioppino and I got the lasagna, both of which were unforgettable. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a can't-miss in our opinion!

We went to Mycovios tonight for dinner. It was seriously one of the most amazing meals I’ve eaten in the last couple years. We started with both of their bruschetta options which were mind blowingly good!! My wife had their lasagna which was to die for. My son had one of the specials which was a pork chop served over Brussel sprouts and bacon in a cream sauce, he got it on the side because he doesn’t like sauces. The sauce and sprouts was 100% amazing. I got the other special which was thin spaghetti with a cream sauce with trumpet mushrooms and topped with a steelhead filet and Dungeness crab. Atmosphere was also great, perfect music at the perfect volume. Service was absolutely amazing which is very difficult to find anywhere right now. If you are on the peninsula, you have to try this place!!!

🧂🧂🧂Savagely salty.. really disappointed I got the special, and wife got the chicken alfredo. I cannot believe how salty both entrees were, especially the special. It was like the chef heavily salted every component of the dish and, when brought together, it did laps around the daily suggested value of sodium intake. The chicken alfredo was not close to the best we've had, and the chicken itself was really poorly cooked. Tough, chewy, not enjoyable at all. Salt bomb combined with the eclectic and dumpy interior, I am not sure why there are so many stellar reviews. This is not a 5 star experience. THE GOOD: - Bruschetta - star of the show! - Wedge Salad - well done, maybe a bit too heavily dressed, but you can tell a lot of care went into it - Excellent and friendly servers
