This is my kind of restaurant! It has a great (and unique) theme, and that theme was pulled off perfectly!

I don't even know where to begin. Just pulling up to this massive crazy western ghost town saloon looking place made completely out of wood blew my mind. There's old beat up antique relics sprinkled all over the property, from old farm equipment to a broken down old truck. It faces a beautiful section of the surrounding mountains really giving it that classic high west vibe!

The first room you enter is this thing that I suppose you would call a lobby, but it has two huge fill sized mine carts filled to the top with large rocks. It really feels like you're entering a mine shaft. The main room with the hostess booth is overflowing with antiques! There are taxidermy animals, creepy dolls and statues, and literally hundreds of other random things covering every square inch of the place.

We had a small wait so I went to the bar in the next room which is so hard to describe. There are multiple stories of shelves with old bottles of medicine and other antiques going all the way to the high ceiling. I got a local beer and we were finally seated in the mine shaft section of the restaurant. For context, there are SO MANY sections to this restaurant! It's endless!

Now the food. First we ordered cheese curds and fried mushrooms. Both were absolutely fantastic! My salad came out next with home made ranch dressing which was also great. After that was my main course, t-bone steak and broccoli. The tenderloin side of my t-bone was like buttah!!! I didn't even need my knife! So good! I also ordered an Uncle Nearest Manhattan which was also fantastic.

Our servers were perfect, popping in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. They were super friendly, as was every staff member we encountered.

Timbermine is a legitimate diamond in the coal mine. I would have given it a great review even if the food was average just for the experience, but the food was excellent! I really recommend giving it a try! I can't imagine many people would leave disappointed.

Pro Tip: Swing by the bar before going to the table and check out what they have on tap. The beer menu was missing a ton of draft...

Best experience ever! Loved our bartender and our waitress. My husband wanted to take me somewhere nice and I'm so glad he took me here! Our drinks came punctually and our food came much more quickly than I expected. Literally the best steak I've ever had!! I will absolutely be returning! I'm sad you can only make reservations for parties of 8 or more, because I think it would really cut down the 30+ minute wait. We were told it could be up to an hour and a half, and I'm glad we didn't have to wait that long. The cups at the table were dirty and wet when we arrived to our booth but accidents totally happen and on a busy Saturday I can understand that getting overlooked, and our server replaced them with no issue and a sincere apology. I love the wine and beer selection! So many amazing options. Our steaks were incredibly tender and they were cooked to the doneness we asked for!! The bread and appetizers were fresh and delicious, though the salad was a bit disappointing. Seafood was also really fresh and fabulous! I think my server may have misunderstood my dietary restrictions that I requested accommodation for and that is the biggest issue I have. I wish my allergy sensitivity would have been taken more seriously. I do understand that mistakes happen, but only half of my meal was allergy friendly, and that is really frustrating and disappointing. I wanted to be able to eat the hot food together with my spouse, so I didn't send my steak back, even though it had pepper like I had mentioned I needed omitted for my allergy accommodation. Steak had pepper but the broccoli did not, so they got it half right. I really hope they can accommodate my allergy needs next time. I will update this post after I return with the results of the available allergy accommodations. I still stand with the five stars even with these few issues, because the food, the service and the environment really made up for it. I'm so glad to have found this gem, I can't wait to be a...

UPDATE The management has reached out to me offering a gift card for the meals with the undercooked steaks and potatoes. I'm willing to give the restaurant another try; I'll post another review when we've had a chance to return. We wanted to have a special dining experience a few weeks ago. We arrived at 4:30 thinking we'd miss the dinner rush hour. We didn't wait long for a table. The cocktail waitress was the best part of our experience. She was outgoing, friendly and provided outstanding service to our table. Our meals were just so-so. They served a few slices of cold bread and whipped butter prior to us placing our order. The dinner salads were small and very run-of-the-mill. When our ribeye steaks arrived, they were severely undercooked. Our waitress took them back to be cooked to medium and gave us fresh baked potatoes. Unfortunately, the potatoes were undercooked. We cut into our steaks only to find them still undercooked. We pointed this out to our waitress. She didn't offer to make the steaks right nor did she offer a partial refund on our tab. I don't like to post negative reviews without trying to reach the management or owner so they can be aware. I wrote an online request to speak to the management and have not had anyone call. I've gone to Timbermine for many, many years. This is the second time I've had a less-than-stellar experience. To the Timbermine management: empower your wait staff to give partial, if not full refunds in instances like this. I recommend you skip Timbermine and go to Longhorn, Goodwoods or Prairie Schooner for a better cooked steak than what Timbermine served. I won't...

This place is SO fascinating! While waiting for a table they have you sit in the lobby with couches and a fireplace. There is bathtubs full of old pez dispensers. Tons of things on the wall. Endless entertainment until your table is ready. The menu is small. This is a STEAKHOUSE. Not a Texas Roadhouse, they have not many items but they’re fantastic at all of it. Not one dish disappointed. From the fish to the chicken and steak, and even the fried mushrooms were fantastic! The table sections are built to look like mineshafts, very unique. The bar was pretty cool, though we did not have any drinks. Their is quite the selection on their menu, watch the prices though. The wall of the bar is filled with all sorts of little alcohols. Bartender was nice and didn’t mind me getting a photo. This was on 3/12/25. I had the BBQ Chicken. It was so soft and well seasoned. The BBQ sauce made me think of sweet baby rays. The fries are so good too, my favorite kind of fries. They also have a craft root beer instead of name brand and that was really good. Our servers name was Maizie, she did a fantastic job taking care of us. Brought all the extra sauces and things here and there without hesitation. She was always on top of our drinks as well. She stayed very kind with us even though we were there like 45 min after they closed. She was awesome! I’d recommend it! At least once, but they are pricey for a reason, very good food and staff. Solid 5/5!

We come for anniversaries, birthdays and whenever we want the best. The best costs a bit more, but it is so worth it. We also waited about an hour, but it’s to be expected at one of the best places to eat. Today I highlight deep fried mushrooms. So very delicious and piping hot. I’ve never tasted any better. I’ve tried to replicate them at home, but to no avail. We also had prime rib, deep fried shrimp and filet mignon. All outstanding. This is my favorite restaurant. Do you see our happy faces? We are happy. December 17, 2022 Came here for our anniversary, like we normally do. It was a little over an hour wait time, but so worth it! The filet mignon was so tender and juicy. The deep fried shrimp is the best anywhere in Utah. I took a photo, but I had to down a shrimp first. We like it even better than Ruth’s Chris and save ourselves a few hundred dollars. December 16, 2023. Came again for our anniversary. Wait time was 70 minutes. Once again my wife and I got the filet mignon and deep fried shrimp. Absolutely incredible. We also got the deep fried mushrooms. Heavenly. My sons got the prime rib and filet mignon and it was perfect. Our waitress was wonderful and kept tabs on us the entire evening. I can’t think of many places with such good food. They could improve on the plain dinner salad.
