Atlantic Manor — Restaurant in Ogdensburg

We were looking forward to an evening with good friends and good food having never been to this restaurant previously...WOW! This was absolutely a complete and total disappointment! The service was almost non-existent! We arrived with reservations for 10 people at 6:30 pm and were not served our appetizers until 8:45 pm, even beverages were a problem for service as it was anything but attentive! The appetizers were fair at best. Our group continued to struggle with service and no food throughout most of the evening. In fact the server who was bringing the meats attempted to finally stop by our table at around 9:20 pm to serve us and we hadn't even been given plates! I ordered GRILLED Chilean Sea Bass with Spanish potato and vegetables. Instead I received a deep fried mess that was floating in grease that I wouldn't go near. The Spanish potatoes were deep fried potato chips and rice that I requested not be served. I sent the dish back. Other dishes that finally came out by 9:30 pm were also marginal at best. For the ratings that this facility has received they should have been embarrassed over what was a complete disappointment for all of us! The manager or owner who was almost invisible all evening, as the individual who organized the event for our group was unable to receive any attention after repeated trips to the front desk, never stepped up and did the right thing for us. In fact, we were debating just getting up and leaving and rather certain that they would not have noticed. I don't understand how this restaurant received the ratings that it has. I believe that our group would not only never return but also not recommend this restaurant to anyone who has had an experience with this kind of dining...it was just poor at...

Allow me to preface this review by saying that I always do my best to leave a good review on the establishments that I patronize, but my experience here was beyond terrible.

This place is a such a joke and I do not say that lightly. I’m not one to leave a bad review on a restaurant, but this one deserves it.

My fiance and I tried to get dinner here on a Saturday night. Yes, it was busy, but that’s no excuse for the pathetic service we were met with.

We asked for a table for two and were told it would be a few minutes. A two top opened up by the bar so we asked to sit there. I specifically asked the host if we can order from that table and he said yes.

We sat there for ten minutes and weren’t even acknowledged. The bar tender brought menus to the other two top (directly next to us) and walked right past us and didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted drinks or a menu.

I then went back to the host to ask if we can just get a table in the dining room since we clearly weren’t going to be served by the bar and he said sure, but it will be awhile as “we have folks waiting”. The host then asked if we wanted drinks while we waited and we asked for sodas.

As we watched people leave the dining room we hoped maybe we’ll be seated soon, but that wasn’t the case. A family of five came in with no reservation and they were seated within a few minutes. That was the last straw for us. We instantly walked out and I do not ever plan to go back there.

I’ve been to plenty of places and I understand they can be busy, but the blatant disrespect towards us was ridiculous. Definitely a shame because I was told this restaurant had great food, but it’s no longer an establishment that I will ever give...

From the moment we walked in and were "greeted"by a young lady who seemed bothered by us having a reservation. She didn't seem happy a have a job. She muttered something and grabbed a highlighter, crossed our name off and sat us in the furthest corner of the dinning room. To the wait staff that left much to be desired. No real greeting... No follow through after drinks came to check on if we needed anything. There was a young man who seemed to be helping the wait staff lucky for them because he did a great job. The food had little flavor. We ordered the calamari appetizer which was chewy and the breading was just falling off It had a runny almost watered down sauce servered with it.Rodizio for dinner. We were both so excited to find a great place locally (NOT HERE) the meat was cooked OK (NOT GOOD NOT WELL) but had a very strong smoky flavor (I've had rodizio before and this was never the case) there was no seasoning on the meat at all. Most of the cuts were EXTREMELY fatty. The side accompanists were blan and room temperature....not hot like they were fresh cooked. The sangria was bitter and just left a lot to desired.
